I’m talking about offensive stats.

Not W/L’s as too many variables determine like turnovers, total defense, SOS, etc.

I’m talking total offense within the SEC.

What about being 10th in the SEC in total offense justifies keeping Ensminger as OC?

If not supportable with facts/stats, then only logical explanation is good ol’ boy network being back and overriding all.

Don’t think that is what we were sold by AD when CEO was hired.

There is no reason to keep him other than TEs coach.

Only idiots would defend his position here. It’s beginning to be a joke how bad our leadership is at this University.

Keep in mind, he didn't want to be OC to begin with. This is the offense O desperately wanted.

No.

But in fairness to him, he didn’t want the gig, either. He was more or less badgered into taking it.

The only fact is, Ed makes the call and it doesn’t appear he wants to make the change. Other than that, I have nothing.

Fact - no polar bears have been killed in the South Pole while Ensminger has been OC

This was always my biggest gripe with hiring him, followed closely by the fact that he hadn't been a full-time OC running his own offense in 20 years (when he was fired) and had no semblance of a history of QB development absent Eric Zeier at UGA in 1994.

No. This was for the interim OC gig. He wanted it this time, or so he said at the press conference when asked.

Great frick! Please let this be a troll. Yes 72 points were scored... in three games’ worth of opportunities.

Why was that CEH pass held until we needed it to tie? We could have used it to win in the period immediately before that after they kicked a FG.

How do we know that replacing him will guarantee a better offense? Some of these players are on their third offensive coordinator already. Continuity is important in team sports.

Only FACT here is that some players are on their 3rd OC. Doesn’t support keeping him.

no.

unless the requirements for keeping an OC are solely "turnovers" and "4th down conversions". because those are the only things LSU can do at an above average level.

I made two statements, and both were true.

I didn't say to keep him, only asking is it worth it to go to yet another coordinator already. Why does he only get one year to prove himself with his own offense?

Obviously nothing is guaranteed, but I think it's a chance worth taking. The offense we put on the field this year isn't going to win us anything of note.

Well, Orgeron only gave Canada a year (really a month). He also only gave Noel Mazzone a year at Ole Miss. Neither change improved his offense.

I don't think more patience is the type of justification the OP is looking for.

I don't know what press conference you're talking about, but he's not going to say he doesn't want the job when he was about to be named or was already named OC. Pretty sure he was essentially forced into the position.

Orgeron only has a year or two on his contract. No one worth a **** is going to come in to be the OC only to be fired in a year or two.

Sure can't.

But some will try anyway.
