The biggest drawback Bama had going into this weekend is that they wouldn't be playing so therefore out of voter's minds. Of course ABC and ESPN couldn't have that so they plastered Saban and Bama all over every broadcast throughout the day. Hopefully voters can see past their $$ agenda.

Funny, the Admin is "this" close to closing the thread because all anyone is doing is whining about the chances of Bama getting in are getting cut and not talking about the game.

That site is run by a bunch of pussies. Glad TD isn't managed like that.

Clemson winning knocks Virginia Tech out of the top 5, thus another team that was rated higher than OSU in some of the polls

Didn't he say both of these would be good for OSU getting in but that it all depends on the VOTERS. It is impossible to know right now.

OSU will get 0.96 from the computers, not 0.95, and Bama will have 0.92.

If OSU and Bama cleanly split the #2 and $3 votes alone, OSU will need 25%+1 vote in each poll at #2. It is starting to look very plausible.

25% as follows assuming they get 0.96 in each poll.

25% of human votes = .93 in each poll for OSU and 0.95 for Bama.

OSU = 0.93+0.93+0.96 = 2.82/3 = 0.94
Bama = 0.95+0.95+.92 = 2.82/3 = 0.94

That is why they need 25%+1 vote in each of the polls.

Sorry but I'm lost, but how does Clemson winning help Bama?

This way, some east coast idiots would not put a one loss virginia tech team ahead of ok sate.

---> Average ranter.

My opinion as such is that the media has already crowned Bama as #2. OSU needs SOME of those votes.

If I was an OSU fan, I would be worried at ALMOST ALL OF THE MEDIA already knowing their votes.

Still, OSU has a chance. It will be closer after today, but how close????

Plus it concentrates the anti rematch vote on OSU.

Media votes don't matter. AP is not part of the BCS.

I can bet you the coaches will be the key, and I don't think Bama gets all the #2's from the SEC coaches (there are only 5 out of 59 votes anyways).

The Harris Poll will be the key.

With all due respect the media votes in the AP poll. AP don't mean shite in this race.

The VT and UH losses also basically make it easy for Pac-12 voters to keep Stanford at #4 since they'll easily be #4 and thus guaranteed a BCS spot even if they stay at #4.
