I tell you the hoops some are willing to jump through to be outraged over a players hand motion when the other player says no big deal is laughable.

Ms. Clark took the high road good for her. Had Angel not chased down Ms. Clark in the last few seconds of the game to rub it in her face there would be no controversy. I really do not understand why people can’t grasp this. Angel had already done the can’t see me jester to Ms. Clark when Iowa was shooting free throws in the last minute of the game. Ms. Clark chose to turn her head and ignore it. I have 2 daughters and I love to trash talk, but you don’t go run down the opponent at the end of the game up 17 to rub their face in it! I would be appalled if either of my daughters did this.

That poster has at least 20+ posts on the subject as well. This really has them riled up. Amazing.

I know you're being funny, but Iowa's coach is a helluva coach and, by all accounts, person, too.

No fricking clue what you're talking about. It's fricking trash talk. Something that happens at all level of sports. In no way does it make someone classless or punkish.

The pearl clutching and character assassination of someone over 20 second hand gesture is exactly what Angel Reese was talking about .

Clark does it and its swag and hard nose... Angel does it and it's punkish and classless. Way to prove her point dumbass......

And it literally proves the point Angel was making and described in her post game interview. Prophetic as frick.

I had a feeling Caitlin would feel this way, and I KNOW Caitlin would be trolling if she would have won.

We get it. She crossed the line of sportsmanship. I don't understand why people don't understand how overblown this story is. It deserved 15 mins of comments. I've see. more national stories and more national talking heads waxing on about a taunt than I did about the Brandon Miller story. Yes, I wish Reese hadn't done it but I'll defend her about the overboard vitriol she's been receiving. Clark had just been anointed America's NCAAW darling. Reese taunted the wrong person in the media's eye and they are punishing her to the extent that they can. Just like they do Mulkey.

Childs play compared to the things MJ and Bird used to say to opponents. They were such talented competitors that I think it leads to a feeling of contempt for lesser mortals at times.

Caitlin would seem petty if she said anything else, but this isn't about Caitlin's feelings. Just because Caitlin or anyone else turns the other cheek doesn't make it acceptable to taunt someone after the competition is over. Reese acted like a punk, and followed it up with more classless comments. That should be condemned, especially from someone that purports to be a role model. At least some other athletes that act like punks aren't hypocrites, because they tell us that they aren't role models.
The fact that this even has to be explained, says a lot about society today.

77 Years old... LSU grad ... Vietnam Vet... Love and supported my school for decades, during good and not so good times. I'm thrilled over the way our girls play this game. We should all be offended over the coverage by networks and politicians.

These young women are the finest quality people we could hope to represent our school. I hope they can withstand this pitiful race pressure and have wonderful careers and lives. God bless them and their adversaries

As for Ms Clark... Incedible player.. tough competitor... should be an LSU girl
