I still think Cheryl Miller is the best women’s college basketball player ever but man this girl at Iowa is fun to watch. I do see a lot of the flow of Maravich, the talent that has everyone on the other team wondering how that skinny white girl is beating my arse.

You realize comparisons like this are meant relative to the women's game, right?

look making a comparison is all good and well. This isn’t Captain Marvel universe. I’m all for equality but there really isn’t a need to compare her to someone who AVERAGED 44 a game for a career without all of his deep shots and flat out dominated everyone no matter how many people were out on him. Who took a beating. Who shot hook shots from mid court during games. Who could do things with a basketball that HAS NEVER BEEN DUPLICATED - EVER. Nobody had a comparable skillset. Ever.

You're missing my point and letting yourself get caught up in the woke/anti-woke argument here. This is not about diversity or any of that BS. It's an analogy. She has a complete toolbox like few players and is analogous, in many people's minds, to the complete skillset the Pistol had. She is not as good nor is she the WBB equivalent in shooting. No one is saying that just that Pete is probably a good analogy in the men's game to Clark in WBB. Not exact but close.

that is the part of her game that LSU has to stop. She scores about 20 per game on layups. Only an interior zone and taking charges can possibly slow that down. No player can stay with her. Just like Pete, who was said to be the fastest player in college or pros with the ball. She is as close to being like Pete as the ladies game will ever seen. Fun to watch her play. Those nothing but net FT's at the end of the game were the difference. Just like Pete!

Four teams played in semifinals; Clark player MVP and Mulkey coach MVP.

Are we allowed to put a strait Jacket on he? Hope Kim can come up with a plan to cool her off.

While I think KM has done a marvelous job recruiting and encouraging her players, I think the Iowa coach has done the best job. Her players don't stand around like LSU players often do. They constantly move and obviously have plays that work, and position for rebounds very well, considering they are not as tall and white. She would get my vote as best coach with KM a close 2nd.

Clark for sure, but that Iowa coach did a hell of a job keeping that team focused… they were a 9 point dog.

Uh, no, not even close. She is really good, but Pete was on a different level.

Where have I seen this before?

She reminds me of Pete Maravich….her accuracy, passing, assists, vision, concentration on the game, ability to hit the open players and hustle. She makes her teammates better....

I was a student at LSU when Maravich played and attended almost every game he played. It is uncanny how Caitlyn Clark has many of his traits and assests.

Saw all the hullabaloo and wanted to see who she was. It's all merited. What a player.
