Daniel Cabrera had a procedure last Sunday. #LSU hoped he’d be ready for the weekend, but he hasn’t improved enough Paul hopes he’ll be back by next weekend
Moscona says he is confident that Cabrera did not have surgery, but doesn't know exactly what the procedure was.
Moran also tweeted this about Marceaux...

Landon Marceaux wont pitch this weekend, but he’s progressing. Threw back-to-back days this week. Will stretch it out a bit today, and if all goes well, he’ll throw a bullpen tomorrow.
#LSU hopes he could be ready to pitch next Tuesday

I really like this.

I really don't like this.

Looks bleak this wknd. Bad weather + scads of injuries = lowering expectations.
Posted on 4/4/19 at 3:25 pm to TigerLunatik
The whole team won’t play either due to bad weather.

The constant injuries for our team is puzzling

Do you think TAMU will be playing in sunshine while LSU plays in this weather?
They've also been dealing with their fair share of injuries.
Keep them expectations up, baw!

Although I wish we had our most dangerous hitter, I would rather have him out this weekend if it meant having him fully healthy going forward. 1 weekend isnt the worst thing.

That was my first thought as well.

Really hoping we start getting our pitchers healthy too. Hill and Marceaux

Costello as well. Hilliard says last night is the best he's felt since Auburn last year. So, that's positive news.

You're right Costello too. And Hilliard looked good, his fastball looked much better than his previous couple outings.

Same. I just wish we had a few more lefties!

Paul Mainieri credited Alan Dunn's throwing program for Eric Walker and Ma'Khail Hilliard gaining arm strength in recent weeks.
He's no doubt heard some of the criticism leveled at his pitching coach about the rash of sore arms on #LSU
ETA re: Cabrera

The sophomore underwent a minor procedure last Sunday in hopes of being ready for this weekend, but he’ll now have to undergo more aggressive treatment as the wrist/hand hasn’t healed as quickly as LSU would have liked.
That doesn’t sound great

It doesn't sound great. Moscona was saying that Cabrera has been experiencing this pain in his wrist for some time and that it's remarkable that he's been able to hit as well as he has this season.

Yeah that's encouraging. Also in previous outings, he sort of hit a wall after a few innings. Last night he was still clicking like fried chicken when he came out of the game. So if he had good command (which he did), good movement on the ball (which he did), was still strong when he came out and feels good today, then that's very good news indeed.

I wonder if that means PRP?

If he's all the way back it immediately moves him from the group of guys we can get an inning out of on a weekend to the group of guys you can trust to go get you a win on a weekend.

Absolutely. Even if he's not all the way back, it tells you that he can give you at least 3 innings in case Hess or somebody is struggling and has to come out early.

Cabrera has tendinitis in his wrist and he told my friend it really hurts.
