For those up late watching football. BYU Looks amazing last night vs. Arizona...especially compared to what they looked like last year.

Grime's line was dominating the AZ defense and he ran a lot of jet sweeps.

Canada's offense was over Orgeron's head and that probably made him deeply uncomfortable and insecure. Canada is also a prick, so that didn't mix well with Orgeron's lack of restraint and tact.

Good for Grimes. While I was frustrated at times with his Olines, he always got his unit to improve as the year went on.

He was also a class act through and through.

Grimes did a helluva job with the offense. Congratulations to him.

I mean, it was against a Sumlin defense to give everyone a reality check here.

It takes a literal rocket scientist to keep up with Matt Canada’s comical pre-snap motion.

Canada offense needed a running QB. We did not have one. It is on Canada to figure out how to fit with the HC and the rest of the staff. Anyway on to tonight’s game.

Great offense for teams with inferior talent. Its a lot like an option scheme which is pretty much what it is....

I get all that I need to know from the mindless O haters on the rant.

I'm still waiting to see how they blame this rainy weekend on Orgeron, though. I know they will somehow.

Everybody hated Grimes and Canada last year. Many thought Canada was a horrible hire and that Grimes should have been fired with Cam and Bradley Dale and blamed O. Now they are jumping on their bandwagon?
The insecurity is real at LSU...

No, insecurity is not the issue. The issue is simple: objectively assessing one's job performance. I'm one of those who was impressed w/ Grimes' performance last night as OC. The play calling was solid. His OL controlled AZ's. He used pre-snap motion and the jet sweep more effectively than Canada did when he was at LSU. Having said that, I was also disappointed many times by JG's job performance when he was at LSU. He had lapses in accurately assessing OL talent, especially recruits. In addition, his failure to retain OL recruits really hurt us last year in the early going. OTOH, I think JG's best coaching performance was the last two thirds of the '17 season.
