Was looking up next year’s schedule.
Looks brutal. Looks like we play all 4 OOC games in September then 8 straight SEC games. (Exact schedule of SEC games looks TBD)

Is this because of the new teams joining and are all SEC teams playing all conference games in a row?

That is a good question. If that is how it is then it will be brutal for sure.

We play 2 Big10 teams and 8 SEC games next year. Our SOS next year will be off the charts for the 12 team playoff.

Even if we end up with 2-3 losses, we could still end up getting a first round home game. Going to be exciting watching the regular season importance change just a tad bit

USC Sept. 1st (Sunday night)
Nicholls Sept 7th
UCLA Sept 21st
South Alabama Sept 28th

Next year is the double bye so I think we will have a bye before UCLA and then probably before we play Bama.

Also, our home schedule is fricking awesome for next year

I cannot wait to get this USC game behind us and hopefully put that neutral site season opener shite on the back burner.

Once a decade or so, sure but this every year shite is stupid.

USC will be a cakewalk. UCLA is a better team

Posted about this yesterday.

2024 is a 14-week schedule so there will be two bye weeks instead of just one. That said, I would guess an SEC road game in mid-September, followed by 7 SEC games in 9 weeks from Oct-Nov. Should be an interesting season, but a home slate of UCLA, Oklahoma, Bama and Ole Miss is pretty awesome.

Cakewalk is a bit much but it will be nice facing USC with a new QB and hopefully a Grinch-led defense still.

It looks to me like we'll slot an SEC game in on September 14 unless we plan to take a Week 3 Bye

With the twelve team playoff, I hope we see more schools scheduling good OOC games. Schedule is tough, but no excuse not to be a top 12 team.

I truly hate how we are taking a week off on week three right after Nicholls state before UCLA. That’s so stupid and I hope it’s incorrect on the website.. Dammit. Nichols is the week off. Use these cupcakes and byes better. We just played army. You should place a week off after a tough team and before a tough team.

If true, it means two things the SEC allows other schools to schedule better than LSU. Or verge, and Woody have no power in smart scheduling.

Not a cakewalk. Lincoln recruits good offensive players and calls a good game.

If you look at the schedule, everything other than the OOC are listed as TBD. That's not the order or meant to be indicative of the actual schedule.

With their defense we should just line up and run them over with our big O line and stable of RBs

It’ll be brutal for sure but what will likely be returning next year will be a force to be reckoned with and I think next year’s team will be suited pretty well for it. Not worried.

I'd have to imagine the East teams that end the season with their ACC rivals will still do that.
