He’s not altering his money, other than transitioning it to differed payments, bonuses, etc… He will be fine.

Of all the NFL football players you have concerns about their financial future, Joe Burrow should be at or near the bottom of your lists.

Altering the deal probably means restructuring and converting salary to signing bonus.

Maybe he'll sign one of those Bobby Bonilla deals

He got a 40-million-dollar signing bonus.

If true, he is doing more in his first years than Bree’s ever did as a Saint. Who would have thought taking a discounted rate to better your team. Brees supporters said it could not be done.

They can’t afford him, Tee, Chase, and Joe under current structure. Joe wants them all and that’s why he says he’s willing to restructure his contract.

Not less money… same or more money but spread out longer and guaranteed.

No way they can sign Chase, Tee and Hendrickson. Tee will be playing somewhere else next year. Hendrickson going to get a 4 yr 85-95 million deal MTL.

We will see. Per local Bengals talk radio, Joe has all 4 committed to all give a little to make it work and, as usual, is leading by example by putting his money where his mouth is.

A lot can happen in negotiations with egos, agents, etc but as of now the goal is for all 4 to be on the field together on 2025.

Nobody is going to take less money after they've signed a contract.

He’s been living off his endorsements and banking his salary since he came into the league.

Seems to be financially savvy, wouldn’t surprise me if attains billionaire status at some point in his lifetime.

No, no it should be “love” doing that, not “loved”. I’ve seen no indication Loomis is changing his ways.

Of course he isn’t. The restructure will lower the front end base in exchange for more guaranteed. Win/win as it frees space to get him his guys now and guarantees the back end of his career.
