It's a good debate, though no way to really answer. Both of them are all time SEC greats. I like Joe because I think the smart QB play and being able to read defenses better will make him great for longer. But Cam is a beast and can run over you while still passing for 300 yards and.. nah. I can't do it.

F* Cam and Auburn. Joe wins. Hands down.

Hard to say honestly.

Joe is much better stats wise but I think we can all agree that he had much better talent surrounding him.

Cam definitely did more with less. But I think history will remember Joe as the better SEC QB - because of the records, of nothing else.

I want to say that I think Joe will have a better NFL career, but Newton has been to 3 pro bowls and won an MVP, and I don’t want to jinx Burrow.

I think Joe’s better because I like LSU.

Cam was physically superior to the rest of the players on the field... in college. In the pros not so much. Cam's playstyle does not translate to longevity, which is another measure of greatness. If Burrow can get an offensive line he will play for 15 more years.

Joe is an overall better team mate than Cam. When things are not going good for Joe, he is still positive and pushing his team mates. When it is not going good for Cam he sits alone and pouts. Remember him in the Hoodie after the SuperBowl Loss? Anyone see him on the Patriot's bench after he got pulled?

That 2010 Auburn team is VERY middle of the road, maybe even 4-5 losses without Cam.

Not saying he’s better than Joe, but he WAS Auburn.

I don't think you can really answer the question definitively either way. If you put Joe on that auburn team, it's almost certainly not as good as it was with Cam; conversely, if you put cam on last year's LSU team, it similarly gets worse. In my opinion, Cam is probably the greatest "floor raising" player in recent CFB history, and Joe is probably the greatest "ceiling raising" player in CFB history. If you have a roster that isn't so talented, Cam is the best possible QB you could have, and if you have a roster that *is* super talented, Joe is the best possible QB you could have.

Look at the Virginia Tech roster from 1999. This is the epitome of what Michael Vick did taking his team all the way to the title game. It was just amazing.

Burrow, Cam and Tebow will all go down as SEC legends at QB.

Joe wins simply because of the more difficult schedule and the records he broke.

Cam was great, I've never seen a QB rush like that against our defense, but their scheduled beating ranked South Carolina two times (#12 and 19), Arkansas #12, Alabama #11, LSU #6 and then Oregon #2 just doesn't stack up to last year. Advantage Joe.

Cam set no all time QB records, he did set a few SEC and Auburn records. Joe on the other had set the QB rating record and passing TD record. Advantage Joe.

Cam was great and clearly had the better season rushing, maybe because he had to, Joe was good enough with his arm that he didn't have to run nearly as much.

Defenses in the SEC didn’t know how to defend that type of offense.
Joe ran a much more complex offense and made checks that put those great receivers in positions to make plays. He was a FAR superior of throwing deep, timing routes, etc. joes was a better mover in the pocket...

In today’s SEC, I believe defenses would stop Cam. Hell, fat Chief in 2011 kills Cam. Just Ask Manziel.
