That barely makes him eligible for OT a-lister.

Nothing against Joe for taking it but NFL salaries are complete lunacy. Breakdown actual playing time with these millions is mind boggling ridiculous shite.

Gotta feel bad for RBs who have short careers and can’t get contracts, yet they see this kind of money being dished out.
If I’m a RB with a QB being paid like this and my organization won’t pay me, I may have to whiff on that blitz pick-up occasionally.

They better invest in OL to protect their investment. One hit below the knee and he is out for a year.

Man, that is is a lot of money for 5 yrs. Cincy better strike while the iron is hot. Tee and Chase will need to get paid and you need some OL help.

That's where you are wrong. NFL football is not just a game it is an 18 billion dollar business.

In 2022, the 32 teams of the National Football League (NFL) generated a total revenue of approximately 18.6 billion U.S. dollars, which was an increase of over one billion U.S. dollars from the previous year.

It's basically the perfect contract for him assuming they can keep Chase, Mixon, and keep improving on the OL. If Cincy has the top brass to make those types of moves happen then KC should be at least somewhat concerned.

He deserves every penny. Its hard to keep guys when you spend that much on one player.

I agree, but I'd rather the palyers keep getting these bloated contracts making all of this cash than for the owners to continually get rich, richer, and richest. To heck with that, owners like Jerry J and New England boss Robert Kraft have money hanging out of their old butts. It's just ridiculous how rich some of these owners are off a sport that has become a global cash cow financially.

Based on what? The fact that you don’t like it? He quite literally is worth 55 million a year if that’s what his employer is willing to pay him. I’m always fascinated with the amount of people that don’t understand how this works.

VERY happy for him. Just hope they have cap flex to keep Chase, Higgins and a stout OL to protect him. Stay healthy JB and kick arse! Would love to see Cincy win it all this season.

Deshaun Watson probably has a couple thousand dollar hoes waiting in his car, and he's got $250 million guaranteed. He says hello.
