How about you just never post again regardless, tourist?

As much as I like Burrow, this assclown is kind of making me wish he hadn't transferred just so that we could have avoided this stupid crap. I'd HOPE this guy isn't related to Burrow, because if he is I can only hope Joe would be embarrassed by this level of knighting for him by a family member on a board that already likes him.

Listen Joe us a lot going for him.

He’s a much better runner.
He has the intangibles you look for
He’s a good passer

And somehow they were still neck and neck...

Which makes me think in the coaches mind Haskins was a noticeably better/more talented passer.

That's really weird. If he was better why would he leave? Why would Burrow and his people have to worry about Haskins being named the starter if Burrow was better?
Not weird at all. Meyer missed the deadline he promised for a decision. Some people put up with that shite and some don't

You're his brother - you know more than I do about the situation.

What I hate is how we basically have to bash our own qb because we want to prove our point

It's not bashing the guy to say that Haskins is better. Haskins is about to be a first round draft pick. Most people that have ever lived are not better at QB than Haskins. It's nothing to be ashamed about.

Meyer names Haskins the starter

There’s your link.

Joe transferee before that

I’m willing to believe they were tied

But that has to do with Joe being more of a dual threat and Haskins being the better passer

Burrow and Haskins battled for the starting job this spring, with coach Urban Meyer saying the competition was close throughout the five weeks of spring practice. Martell was always included in that conversation, but it mostly felt like a two-man race between the players who served as Barrett's No. 2 in each of the past two seasons. Meyer did not officially name a starter coming out of spring practice.

I stand corrected.

Absolutely. Another top-10 season, and a completion rate in the high 60's-plus? Yes. If LSU gets into the playoffs, Burrow could easily be one of the first 2 QB's off the board.

I appreciate you answering the question and not dodging it, like some other posters with a similar reputation.

That’s a bold prediction and you’ll have to pardon those of us with a “we’ll see” attitude. I hope you’re right.

If he's better than Haskins being named the starter would simply be a formality. No reason to leave. You think Meyer would put the worse QB on the field?

I think Burrow saw the writing on the wall and didn't want to face that moment of truth that Haskins would be named above him. That way people like you can always say what he would've been.

"We'll see" is an intelligent response.

I'm stating what people inside the program and what the press reported.

You, of course, can imagine anything you like.

You’re also ignoring obvious facts.

Even if they were equal

Joe is a better runner which mean Haskins has to make up for it in some other way.

If they’re equal passers and Joe is a better runner ...

I wouldn't go as far as saying Joe isn't a first rounder. He might not be, but lets see what he does this year.
He'll only be as good as his OL allows him to be.

Is Cregg gonna put 5 OL's on the field that can consistently pass block?

Does Cregg have 5 OL's on the team that can consistently pass block?

If you don't focus on recruiting OL's from high schools that threw the ball a lot, you wont have OL's that can consistently pass block. Takes too long to teach them and many never get it.

It's like trying to convert a DT running QB in shotgun into a drop back passing QB under Center. Doesn't work. Too much of a learning curve.

What if we run 80% of our passing game through RPOs?

These are the facts.
Meyer couldn't decide. Joe looked for a new team They are well known to people who follow the program.

However, the facts do not fit the narrative that have developed on this sit. So you are now trying to hammer the facts into a shape that will fit the narrative you can't let go of. Have fun with that.

The only narrative I’m hammering is that Haskins is a better pure passer and Joe makes up for that with leadership and running ability
