First I want to say hello fellow Tiger fans. I have been an LSU fan since as long as I can remember. I bleed purple and gold. Been to many games in Tiger Stadium. My father was a 1958 LSU graduate. My whole family is from New Orleans, right now I live in Gump USA. But my flag flys proud out front. Anyway to my question.

With Burrow bringing his arm talents to Tigerland, we all know what transfer Stidham did at Aubie. With a strong defense Aranda brings to the field, I feel if the D can keep the other teams score 21 and under, which I feel is very possible. I think with our talent and depth at receiver and if the line comes together and we have good enough RBs to rotate in. I know, a lot of ifs. I think we will surprise a lot of teams because we will be the underdog in a lot of the big games. LSU has always played better when their backed in the corner. What do you think Tigers ? GEAUX TIGERS
I think we can be very successful.

I know your pain I live in gator nation but I fly my LSU flag loud and proud. My prediction is 9-3 only because of this tough arse schedule. Burrow will make a huge difference and if we can air it out consistently I think it will be a fun year. Our loses this year will be to Auburn, Bama, and Georgia. They will be close but these teams have veteran qb play will be the difference. Here's to a good fun season and

Burrow has a little bit less college experience. That being said if Burrow can play the way Stdiham did and be efficient around 3200 yards 67% completion percentage, I’d take that in a heartbeat, and you’d have to like our chances in a lot of games with a QB like that.

And honestly, isn’t it about time that an LSU team overachieved a little? Maybe win a couple of games it shouldn’t have won, get a weird, fortuitous bounce, have a breakthrough player that is a difference- maker , that kind of thing?

The traditional Rant definition for a successful season is comprised of 3 elements:
-Undefeated
-National Championship
-Head Coach Fired

That’s cute, but what is the standard for success for this program? No one seems to know any more.

When O wanted the job he talked about championships “soon”. Now, in year 2, we’re getting sunshine pumping articles about him exceeding 7 wins.

I’ll be surprised if Burrow doesn’t throw for 3,000 yards and 25+TD.

That’s 250 ypg and basically 2TD passes per game.

He can absolutely make a Stidham type impact.

3 losses or less for this team

Asking for wins against bama, Georgia and Auburn might be too much

9 or 10 wins is a good season. With this gauntlet of a schedule...

Your bio is similar to mine.

Having watched LSU football since the 60's I believe this is one of the most critical and undamnpredictable years I can ever remember.

The game vs Miami is one of the most important game ones ever

I see Burrow as more of a Chad Kelly type than Stidham, but I’ll take either! As long as he helps us win big games and stay in contention in the SEC, we are good.

typical overreaction.

Since 1933, LSU has gone undefeated in the regular season exactly twice. Although we hope for it, no one rationally expects an undefeated season.

All most of us really expect is legitimately being in the hunt for the SEC West most years.

I also mentioned the similarities from AU situation last year to ours this year. I think AU was a 7-8 win team before Stidham landed there. They had the D. They had the skill players and a formidable oline. They just needed that QB who could play well n big moments. We now have that guy n Burrow. They also had a tough schedule last year like we do this year. I believe we finish 10-2 like they did. Whether or not that gets us to Atlanta idk.

LSU doesn't have a formidable OL; it's not formidable and not talented enough to hold up in big SEC games. This will be visually apparent very soon into the season...……...
