JPLSU, great job! Keep it up! I called the Jimmy Ott show and told him about it and he agreed with the fishiness of this whole thing.

Well there should be PLENTY of Arky fans out there that would like the chance to say more about the way they were treated in the Fla. game. It was disgusting!!!

Perhaps you could just print a nice 9X10 glossy of that photo that shows both of Petersons feet inbounds and ask him to autograph if for you!

When did Burleson graduate from GT. Because if it was before 1964 then technically he is a graduate of the SEC.

Georgia Tech was an SEC school until 1963, FWIW. I don't know how old this guy is, or if it really matters, just thought it was weird that the SEC tried to hammer the point that he isn't an SEC guy, even though the ties are obvious.

ETA: Damn, I read through 3.5 pages and didn't see this point, so I posted. Should have read through them all I guess!

I keep faxing pictures of all the bad calls to the SEC office over and over. I am not stopping until there is an explanation.

It is not about the call, it is about the integrity of the game and it's ref's that oversee the game. It is this lame thinking why there has never been anything done about it and that is why it is still going on. I have been around LSU for the last 50 years and there has always been this type of stuff going on and it will continue to go on if someone doesn't step in and stop it. I believe it is going to take an uprising from the fans themselves to stop it. According to your logic, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor we should have turned our backs to them and said that's ok we are all right and we will take care of it in our own way and not done anything about it? It is because of this kind of thinking that World II started, because there where individuals like Hitler out there that would always prey on the week. So, all Japan did was step on the foot of a sleeping giant and the rest is History. Hitler and Japan got their just rewards.

Absolutely right!

Not sure what all has been in these threads because I haven't had time to flip through them. I live in the 'ham and have heard this guy on Finebaum several times.

He always talks about how Bear would say something along the lines of, "You know, I'm good friends with your Daddy," before each Bama game Burleson officiated.

He also always tells a story where the coaches and officials were meeting before a game and Bear said something like, "You know, that number 64 holds on every single play." Burleson responded with, "You can't tell us stuff like that before the game." And Bear came back with, "Okay, forget I said anything about number 64 holding on every play."

Each time he's on Finebaum's show, it's more of a 30 minute tribute to Bear than anything else. It's extremely obvious that he has deep ties to that program.

However, contrary to some false information out there, he is not a graduate of any SEC school.

Very disingenuous for the SEC to spout this crap. Mr. Burleson an Alabama native son attended Georgia Tech from the late 50's to early 60's and it was indeed in the SEC during his years there. GT dropped from the SEC in 1964. He is a graduate of GT which was an SEC member while he was there.

WAFB got a hold of Dick Burleson's checking account statement... Something doesn't look right in there, but I can't put my finger on it...

I don't know where in the hell you got this from anywhere in anything that I said.....America had a problem with a clear solution and they acted swiftly and effectively.....but to compare a blown call or 50 years of blown calls to Pearl Harbor is a disservice to our great country IMO but whatever floats your boat.

Sorry, When I saw in your response about Hitler I thought ( that is what I get for thinking!) that it was you that made that reference, it was not you it was someone else.

I just do not believe that we should sit by and let this type of crap go. There is nothing that can be done about the outcome of the game that is overwith and done. But we can change the playing field that is in the SEC if, IF, we stick together. We already have the backing of the majority of the schools and I believe that is good enough to fight with and the fight has already started. That is what started this thread is what is being done now in the SEC offices by having Burleson pull his web site. The only reason he pulled his web site is his association with Bama. The SEC told him to pull his site so that the proff would not be that easy to get to so he pulled it. That to me is enough evidence to go after the SEC and the officials on this. If they did not know this was going to be a problem then that site would have been pulled way before now. That just shows how open this stuff is and I believe that Bama knew this was wrong and that if there was going to be a close call they had someone in that booth to make sure that the call would go Bama's way.

Sorry again for saying what I said but who ever said it they know I was telling them what I said to you. We are Tiger fans and we need to be together not against each other. We all can make a difference if we choose to it is up to us how far we are willing to go. Read my sig, I stand by that every day and it works.

Havent read all the threads but has anyone forwarded this info ESPN, Yahoo, CBS, etc.....????

fwiw, I still dont think the call cost us the game, we shot ourselves in the foot one too many times in the game.

But if this info posted is correct, there is DEF a conflict of interest and the SEC needs to be exposed.
