He was granted late medical redshirt, and will be transferring immediately to Kansas.

He just found a slider and will be a spot reliever on weekday games.

Who wants his signature?
Has he attained any value? What’s he charging? Anything more than $1 is comical.

I guess his announcement was Alec Bryant!

Maybe he is announcing to playing the AAF instead of the NFL
He’s better than $75k a year

What makes you think he's better than 75k a year in that new league?? He may be a great teammate but he's not a starting NFL running back. He started this season bc the staff missed on a few backs they went all in on. He's the back you play when up big or playing UL to give your starters rest

I agree maybe a great kid but he never produced at LSU..he was still playing high school ball while he was in college....

He played 4 years and didn't complain or transfer after sitting behind other backs. He was a great teammate and did his best when he was on the field.
"High School" backs don't rush for 1,000 yards and 14 TDs in the SEC.
Maybe Fournette and Guice spoiled you. They were graded as first round draft picks. Sorry the guy who started after they left wasn't up to your high level of expectations.

Very immature post, Brossette was a solid football player and started his senior year. I would never refer to Brossette as a star football player but this kid stayed in the program supporting a couple of great running backs and waited his turn.
Running for over 1000 yards in a season for a SEC team is production, not stardom but a solid season and for his career he averaged 4.7 yards per carry.

Brossette played behind much more talented RB's than Alfred Blue did. Blue never established himself as a primary RB at LSU yet he's heading into his 6th NFL season. Go figure.

Blue stared out his junior year great and was our feature back until
he hurt his knee. The next he wasn’t fully recovered and only saw spot
duty. When he got to the NFL, he was fully recovered and showed how
goo he would have been had he no gotten hurt

The CFL salaries aren't good. And NFL practice squad is $7600 per week, but there are limited spots and there's a 3-year limit.

He got over 1k yards in the SEC. I posted elsewhere before that as far as I can tell, Rawleigh Williams is literally the only RB to gain at least 1k yards in the SEC and not play in the NFL and he "retired" from football because of injuries. Not saying Brossette is going to be a star or even a starter but he'll get a shot for a few years.

He runs with his pad level to high. He's not a back that you put in the game to close it out and get you a first down to run out the clock. He doesn't break tackles and is not quick. He may play in the league for a few years which I didn't say he wouldn't just said hes not a starting NFL running back

Bottom line, he's not going to announce he's going to the AAF before the NFL draft and free agent signing period. That wouldn't make any logical sense. A practice squad NFL player makes twice the salary of an AAF player. It would make no logical sense for him not to test the NFL waters first. AAF players are guys who do not have any NFL offers and have exhausted all NFL opportunities. Brossette hasn't reached that stage at this point in his career.

He rushed for 1000 yards and 14 TDs. While those are not all-time great numbers, those are solid numbers for a back in the SEC. To say he was playing high school ball in college is a bullshite comment and unfair to say about a guy that worked his arse off for 4 years waiting his turn behind two of the better backs we've ever had.

Yep, like Brossette, he runs tough, is a smart player, blocks well, and works hard. That goes a long way into finding a role on an NFL team, whatever that role may be. Nothing Blue does/did on the field jumps off the page, but he does the little things well that won't show up in the box score. Those types of players have value too.

I don't disagree with any of this but not being a starting NFL back doesn't mean you should go AAF. Stay in the NFL as long as one possibly can. Only 3 years in the NFL (only have to be on the active roster for 3 games to get credit for a season) makes one eligible for their pension which starts at $51k. Obviously not insane money but that can make a gigantic difference later in life.
