you're cherry picking. Burrow, in 2018, was under Ensminger's crappy offense, which held his numbers way down.

Whose offense were we running in 2020?

The only reason the team scored that much was because of the defensive turnovers

Max is the better qb.

Dude studies football like his life depends on it.

I think the chance of Myles transferring if he does not get the starting job is better than 60%. It is widely believed that teams are interested in him and he will likely be open to a move.

For this reason, I think we might see O push for a 2 QB rotation at least initially.

coaches don’t play QBs to keep them from transferring. They’re far, far more concerned about playing the guy that gives them the best chance to win. .

You really believe a Head Coach would play the second best when his future depends on winning?

I've been sympathetic to Brennan because he has "waited his turn".
But as a fan I would be disappointed if the best player, in the eyes of the staff, didn't start. It would be to our benefit if the second best player left, rather than the "best" leaving.

I doubt either QB would benefit by leaving the week prior to the first game. To be successful at a new team, he would need to learn their system and learn his team mates/receivers. An athletic dual purpose QB would have a better chance to make it work. I can't see Brennan be successful in a new offense, if he does not win the job here.

Their ability to run is not that big a difference and that ability is way is way down the list of QB capabilities behind leadership, protecting the ball reading the D, and passing ability. Ability to run is way down the line and as I said is really not that great. This will be decided on other factors before it’s get to ability to run. May the best man win.

If Max is clearly better then play Max

If it’s close you have to go with Myles for multiple reasons

wow, not even close to the truth. In college, especially, the ability to scramble and turn a negative play not a positive play is huge.

Think of the most effective college QBs in recent years and nearly all can scramble.

It's called reverse psychology. Promote Max, get Brennan to transfer to another SEC school, and weaken LSU at QB. Max goes down then Nuss is thrown in the fire untested.

Myles Brennan will be the starter this season barring injury. Coach O isnt letting Brennan go play elsewhere for 2 years at Tx A&M, Florida, Bama, or maybe Ole Miss. Fisher and Mullen would take Brennan right now if they could. Ole Miss and Bama would just for spite and to weaken LSU.

Right because SEC coaches would never try to manipulate simple Ed into starting the guy they would rather face.

Jesus Christ this fan base.

Unless MB transfers or both he and MJ get injured Nus isn’t getting much playing time at all this year. But sure he might be that starter...idiot

Jordan Jefferson

Thanks for making my point. I thought at this point in the saga of Les Miles that no one would still defend his offensive decisions. I guess I was wrong.

ESPN, the NFL, the senior bowl committees all valued Lee more than Miles did. Had Miles been a decent human being he would have developed this elite 11 finalists into an all star QB his senior year, instead of chasing tail

And that's Max Johnson. Because if Max is the starter in 2021, he will be more than ready to make another natty championship run in 2022.

However, if the starter in 2021 is Myles, then whoever starts in 2022 won't be ready for another natty championship run.
