If he’s still on the team in a month then I’d say he’s comfortable.

They return Monday for the summer. I’m sure he’s going to want to go through some workouts before he decides.

"Hey Nick, who do you want at QB for LSU, Lee or Jefferson?"

"Oh that Jefferson guy can run. We really, really scares us. :snicker: :teehee; :haha:"

You have to be a complete dumbass to believe an SEC coach gave an answer to a stupid question like this

Perhaps this isn't Brennan's mindset (which is admirable), but he definitely could press the issue NOW on naming a starter and would probably be justified in doing so. If he's thinking he would transfer if Max is the starter then I suspect he would want to make that decision now rather than the fall when transferring would essentially waste one of his two remaining years of eligibility.

O’s probably been diplomatic with it and told Miles it’s his job to lose.

Well I got in a discussion with bama fans who called me uninformed, cause I consider max as the better QB , which he informed me Brennan will be the better QB , that speaks volumes

Yeah he definitely didn’t want to see the guy with a 1:7 career TD:INT ratio against Bama LOL

f Max starts in 2021, LSU will make a Championship run in 2022, then Max heads off to the NFL after his junior season.

Which means, Nussmeier should be the starter his redshirt sophomore year. He plays his redshirt sophomore year and his redshirt junior year and then heads off to the NFL.

Then Howard is the starter his redshirt sophomore year and he plays his redshirt sophomore year and redshirt junior year then heads off to the NFL.

Then Arch Manning is the starter his redshirt sophomore year and he plays his redshirt sophomore year and redshirt junior year then heads off to the NFL.
this is so much wasted energy. There are so many variable at play - just wait and see where the chips fall. There's no way to predict any of this.

LSU should just recruit a few great QBs, let them compete, and if some transfer, so be it.

And please stop with the NFL talk. You've got Max, Nuss, Howard, and Manning all headed early to the NFL. Absurd.

Out of how many polled? Does this mean the other 11 HC’s (assuming HC’s) or the other 89 (13 teams times 7 coaches/team minus two) are more afraid of Brennan?

Is that the same guy who was named ESPN senior SEC QB of 2011, and was then signed as a QB by the Chargers, or the other guy who was told to convert to tight end?

Lee finished the 2011 season with a passer rating of 152.0. Lee was selected by ESPN as the All-SEC senior quarterback.

Lee was invited to play in The Casino Del Sol All Star Game in Tucson. In the game, Lee finished 13 of 18 for 176 yards with 2 touchdowns and no interceptions. Lee played his second All-Star game in less than 1 week in The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. In that game, Lee completed 2 of 6 passes for 36 yards, including a 13-yard touchdown pass to Isaiah Thomas.

Jarrett Lee had the highest QBR in the SEC in 2011. His numbers were excellent.

This board loves revisionist history, but Jarrett Lee had a superb 2011 season.

Kiffen and Dan Mullen, no doubt.

Likely the two coaches are Mullen and Kiffin since Johnson hung over 400 yards passing on each of them and beat their asses.

My only issue with Myles, besides not mobile, 3rd down conversions were non existent with him starting. I dont care about your over all numbers if you can’t convert on 3rd down.

The Max hype train is nothing but big talk (which is common here).

Who cares what two unnamed coaches say, particularly since they have an incentive to promote the QB that they would rather face.

Oh cmon man. If either one doesn’t have the confidence to think they can beat out max I’m not interested anyway.

It was the guy who threw 2 Int in 7 passes earlier in the season against Alabama

Also, the Senior competition in 2011 was:
John Brantley
Chris Relf
Stephen Garcia (till he got kicked off the team)
Jordan Jefferson
Larry Smith

I'm blaming this on the play calling which was greatly improved towards the end of the season. I don't think it had anything to do with Myles just not getting it done or missing open guys

I think Max has a good family that knows he has to earn it and they knew Brennan would be there 2 more years when he came. So I don’t see him leaving if he isn’t named the starter.

If he is named the starter why would Myles stay though? I think you have your answer on who the starter is right there. Max deserves to play some though and I think you’ll see it in packages. We used Mauck a little before he became the starter. Flynn and Perrilloux too.
