Bringing family to the game, where to park?

I'm bringing my wife and two daughters (no pics) to there first LSU game this weekend and need to know the best place to park that has the quickest route back to I-10. I don't mind walking a few blocks cause I know it'd be worth not getting stuck in traffic near the stadium.

Anywhere north of Highland Rd. Leave and go North to Government, and you will be able to get anywhere else in the city from there.

Highland rd runs north/south. How do you park north of Highland rd?

Depends on what time you are getting there. If by 10, park somewhere between Uhigh & Sorority Row, pick a spot with easiest access to Dalrymple so you are not stuck in one of the lots leaving

Between Nicholson and Highland, north of the stadium/volleyball ccourts, in that neighborhood, etc. Plenty of makeshift smaller lots and areas to pay. When ready to leave, walk back and make your way north and hit I10 to go either direction.
When women/kids are involved, of course depending on game, ill leave late 3rd, get to vehicle, watch 4th at Pastime with poboy or pizza (and cold beer)
Of course, if game is great and you stay till end, it gets a bit more congested when leaving, but that north side is easiest way to walk and get a decent time shot back to I10, especially heading west

Without a parking pass these days, might as well go to lauberge and take the shuttle. One day lsu will figure out how to make the entire city limits paid parking

For the Clemson game we paid to park at a house in the neighborhood between campus (East Parker Blvd) and LSU Avenue. It was a little bit pricey at $50 but after the game we were outside the police barricaded routes leaving campus and able to drive through the neighborhood with not traffic to where W. Lakeshore Dr and LSU Ave./Stanford intersect. I believed it saved us a lot of time sitting on Highland and W. Lakeshore Dr. The traffic seemed to move reasonably well on Stanford back to I10.
Hope that makes sense. We were essentially parked a few blocks East of the free Ag Center parking lot on E. Parker which is just on campus around Highland and E Parker.
I believe the house was at the corner of Cornell Ave & Emory Ave.

We've used the Pastime Tiger Transit shuttle. Of course if you're planning on spending all day on campus, that wouldn't be an option.

There is University Presbyterian Church at 3240 Dalrymple Dr. less than a half mile (9-10 blocks) walk to the parade ground. $30 for the day. Avoid all of the traffic around campus before the game and quick access to I-10 following the game.

2 kids and friend and a side piece, tend to run out of steam when beating NWSE State by 3 tds in 3rd, after all afternoon on campus. So absolutely, i skate to pastime grab some beer, ac, and solid food..and watch the end before skating back west.
But, not sure whats worse. You judging me, or you acting like youve stayed for the final whistle anytime youve ever attended a game
And to the OP, i have a parking pass, but many times dont use, simply because of the nightmare of getting out and contraflow. Sitting in a car w children for an hour, simply ruins the day for them. Dint fall for it ut if offered, just pay tge 20 bucks to be off campus

any of the churches on Dalrymple Dr would probably work for you, you will have to pay but I don't think I've paid more than $20 ever while parking there.

I’m always going to recommend parking by the vet school. Get there early though.
But my dad and I have parked over that way going back probably 15-20 years now, maybe more. It’s direct access to river road. Traffic is bad no matter where you park so just be prepared

If you are headed west after the game get there early and park on Dalrymple. It is contra flow after the game to I-10. Long walk bit worth it
