If your seats are grandstand, probably not bad, if not, id reconsider the wife and 8 month old going.

A 5 year old would be bored to tears by the third inning

I have a single 1 year old and I can’t imagine trying to get him thru a game right now, much less him and 2 other kids.
I took my 5 year old to the Vandy football game this year. My mother had to walk around the stadium with her several times. I left my 18 month old at home with my wife. Couldn’t fathom bringing three kids under 6 to a game if I planned on staying past the 2nd inning

It’s easier than you think.
I recommend a carrier for the baby and a clear bag with everything you need. Diapers, sound cancelling headphones, snacks (those teether crackers are great), and a lot of patience.
Get as much time as you can, hopefully around a nap and they just sleep in the carrier, and get out of there when things start going south.

I brought my oldest when he was 1. I did not enjoy that game. Wife did not enjoy that game. Son certainly didn’t. I brought my youngest when he was 8. Everybody had fun.

Is this acceptable?
People do it around me often. It doesn't look fun, but there is nothing wrong with it. What section are you in? If you are in the shade, it's going to be easier. If you are on the aisle, it is more convenient when yall need to walk the kid around. I started bringing my boys when they were about 4 & 6. They handled it better than I thought they would, and we weren't in the shade for a daytime game that was warm.

Holy fook I'd rather dodge mines in the Strait of Hormuz in Crocket's cigarette boat than go through that torture.

All of those kids are too young for any sporting event. If your goal is to get some photos to post to Facebook, you probably be able to accomplish that if you don’t mind them crying in the photos. Expect a miserable experience. I would put this off for 5-7 years.

I waited to bring my son and he was 4 at the time. We had a blast but I had more fun watching him get chili dog all over himself and the bleachers lol
He has a 3 yr old son now so I plan on bringing my grandson to a game and buying him the same chili dog

I brought my daughter to her first ballgame around age 5 or 6 and it was great.
