we had toss dives but yes you are correct. we had plenty HB iso and HB powers. no guard pulls on dives or iso but LG does pull on powers. which we did see plenty with miles.

Yeah honestly Borderlon should take up the old Jack Mashburn role. He’s a senior sitting on the bench. Let him go knock someone’s helmet off.

LSU is bad at running from the shotgun formation

LSU looks really good running from the I formation

Use Pyburn both ways. He only plays half the snaps on defense.

I think they used the TE on that 50 yard run to close the game out?

Please just install a different package

Put one of our DT in at FB

We have come full circle.

And I agree that a touch of power would be good as an additional look to prepare for and for short yardage situations. I hate the zone read with a slow qb in short yardage situations.

no, no it is not. we would be more multiple now. did that style work for us in 2011 or not? who said we had to run this all the time. We can mix it up. What we are doing now is not working. You cannot be in the gun all the time if it does not open up the run or if we have no running QB in this style offense. We have terrible pass efficiency. Another thing being under center can fix with a run game then play action. power runs which opened up PA passing? like 2011? Do you not understand as longa s our o line can block what it does to help play action? on pass plays? also helps with RB getting a head of steam before handoff? the OP talked about basically toss sweeps to the outside. he did not say toss dives. you really have no clue what a dive play is do you? Thank you for proving my points about the Dunning-Kruger effect here.

take a breath, it’ll be okay

First…no Mrs Kruger you’re the only one who knows what the difference between a sweep and a dive is. changing out sweep for dive was a stretch for the comedic effect of the post.

You getting too big for your britches ever since your spinning of the earth effect got taught in schools. Sorry you had to share the discovery with your partner Dunning.

I would say 3rd and 2 has been the hardest to convert for LSU over the last 2 years thanks to Sloan's 1 play that he uses for it . Stand running back 5 yards behind the line and watch him get swarmed by 9 guys standing in the box. Good ole predictable Sloan. What an offensive genius.

I don't want to go back to the I-formation but I am not opposed to going to more pistol or 1-1 or 1-2 personnel under center. Running outside zone in 11 or 12 personnel under center (Aces) formation is the best run concept in football.

Bring back the Power-I and keep Pyburn in the fullback spot. He and Bauer Sharp owned whoever they needed to block which sprang Durham loose.

The edge was there and it was perfect.

More of that, please.
