Nothing is stabilized about the defense.

Ed O is no longer a part of this program and hasn't been for over 2 years. The roster is now (over)stocked with players. We are now into the 3rd offseason with BK and his system. We're still blaming Ed?

EO I was responsible for the 2020 and 2021 signing classes and for laying the groundwork for the 2022 class. He was also responsible for getting in with recruits for the 2023 class although not as much as the 2022 class.

A majority of the two deep we saw this year should have been Orgeron signees and commitments.

There’s no question or defensive coaching has been lacking, but it’s also obvious that we lack talent on defense and a large number of the recruits we thought would be good were not good.

Looking forward to 2024 it’s obvious we need to get better on defense. You can’t get to Atlanta or make the playoffs with a D like we played this year. We won’t have 5, 8 and 11 so we also need to improve our running attack and develop some kids at WR.

EO’s fingerprints; however, will still be on the program. There will be some good players remaining that he brought in, but there aren’t as many as you’d like to see.

But BK has had time to fill the holes. There is no disagreement there. The portal can cover up a lot of things. We see that even from the playoff teams.

Despite the fact that our defense was historically atrocious this year, House didn't forget how to be a DC. If it was all or mostly on House, I don't think Kelly would hesitate to replace him.

House has one great year as a DC under Stoops and bailed. He had a decent year last year propped up by developed players and the weakest link on the defense was his LBer unit last year and it got worse this year.

The fact is that he sis an overrated coach that hates recruiting and refused to adjust his scheme and playcalling to the available talent and has failed in general will talent development.

Now losing a DL coach last minute and having two idiots coaching the DBs didn’t help, but House is the one that refused to blitz Milroe or leave a spy on him even after it worked.

What a loser you are. You don't link what Kelly actually said but instead, link some random Twitter account.

Kelly was talking about stabilizing the program by having consistent winning vs up and down seasons. with a strong implication that it is the base to ascend from.

Kelly got here when LSU was coming off of back-to-back non-winning seasons. 11 total wins in 2 seasons, in part thanks to an idiot player for Florida.

There is no stability with a defense this bad. I know the horrible D was in part due to bad luck and circumstance. But, the coaching was poor and the defensive backs were way below the LSU standard. I don't remember an LSU defense this slow and with such poor tackling skills. It is frankly amazing that this team went 10 and 3 with losses only to top 10 teams.

O won a championship baw and thoroughly whooped arse. The amazing stats that were getting posted during last nights game - those were under O. Defense wasn’t trash and below C-USA standards.

“He is essentially saying: "The time for excuses is over. We had two years to build this back up, now we have to start competing for the playoffs and then championships."

Fun Bunch with the most astute and perceptive post tonight!

Back to back 10 wins and a Heisman QB.

Playoffs next year, Nuss wins Heisman in 2025

I guess BK and are watching and perceiving things so differently. I respect his opinion as he is paid a load to know when we are stable and I guess that can mean something diffrent to folks but special teams and our defense seem less than stable and are unstable compared to a team that had several player opting out. Bk s remarks are concerning.
