Is it fair to say that we don’t know the details of the situation?

So, is it possible Boutte maybe wasn’t responding to other tactics? To me,
quote:

"I don't normally send messages in the media to players," Kelly said. "I usually talk to them, but I didn't know him very well. So it was the best way for me to kind of get his attention."
might hint that it’s possible Boutte wasn’t up for much communicating.

So he had a kid out there talking to the media, doing his own thing, not responding to meeting requests, not coming in for things, etc. Not a bad decision to call him out slightly. And it worked.

Every case is different. And Kelly said he doesn’t usually do this, but felt it necessary in this case. And I agree with him.

Just because one player tried to play through a fall camp injury and ultimately had to have surgery doesn't mean a different player in a different situation won't play at all. Where do you people come from?

I’m not saying to get rid of him. I’m just refuting the post that said he was being a team player.

Yeah I don’t think he was either.

But we can all just move on now. He made some mistakes. He had shite leadership.

16-21, is the most crucial age where you need mentorship and leadership in your life. It damn sure wasn’t Ed O. So give the kid a chance. We’ve seen tons of guys head out the door. Boutte was not one of them. Which means he’s responding. Great kid who made some misjudgments. Let’s move on.

He was on top of the world, projected to be a top draft pick. Then he got ankle surgery. Then he had a second ankle surgery. I can forgive him for being distracted and taking some time to work things out on his own.

It’s really incredible how amazingly stupid your takes are on every possible topic. This, basketball, politics, doesn’t matter. No matter the topic, you never fail to spectacularly flaunt your stupidity.

At least if Boutte does check out during the season, we still got Bech, nabers, and the young receivers who are hungry. BTJr looked good in the spring game. Im not worried about WR. The young guys are chomping at the bit.

anyone having a problem with Boutte should go look up info on Tyrone Prothro. Prothro was on his way to winning a Heisman and having an NFL contract.

Tyrone Prothto broke his leg in half and never played football again. What does his situation have to do with Boutte stringing us around all off-season?

Coming from you I will take that as a compliment. You really express few opinions and just call people names. But a quick check of your history shows your biggest melts as calling President Tate and overt racist and carrying on for 20 pages arguing that Burrow was not a top 5 QB.

Hope he does well this year for many reasons. But dont be surprised if he bails at the 1st sign of adversity sometime around mid season....pack it in and "prepare" for the draft. Hope I'm wrong but we've seen this movie before. Trend is the sequel isn't much different than the original

Wowww. It’s nice to have a coach who understands how to use the media to send a message to his players.

That’s because you’re not intelligent enough to understand what a compliment is.

If you don’t like being called out for your stupidity than stop putting it on display all the time.

You, him, and everyone else that supports and propagates critical race theory is an overt racist.

carrying on for 20 pages arguing that Burrow was not a top 5 QB.

When I did that it was absolutely true. Then burrow thoroughly proved me wrong the following year.

You saying Darius days would’ve been better off not coming back to lsu will never not be stupid.

You saying shareef O’Neal would be more important to next year’s lsu basketball team than Adam Miller will never not be stupid.

You will never not be stupid.

Imho, Kelly has not made a bad move since he got here ( dance moves included ). I’m SOLD that his instincts are top notch. He is the Anti-Ogre.

Is this take serious? With 100+ upvotes?

Kayshon Boutte was a damn gunner on punt team and unbelievable at it. As the best receiver in the conference.

Williams at Bama got rave reviews for this very act but since LSU sucked the past two years, Boutte got overlooked.

Please tell me in the 4 pages before my post someone pointed this out.

I'll be shocked if he plays in more than 4-5 games.
I feel the same. If they aren’t undefeated going into the Bama game I fully expect he will do as others done and quit.
