Nice to have a head coach who stresses preparation and practices what he preaches on accountability across the board not only for his players, but for him and his staff. Will be quite the contrast from having to listen to a predictable broken record of excuses on preparation and "gotta get better".
quote:

"We have to pass the eye test because LSU fans are smart and they know what good football looks like. If we go out there and we’re sloppy and we’re disconnected and we’re not well-coached, then we get what we deserve."
- Brian Kelly

VS.
quote:

"One game does not define a season, but we do understand that was a letdown for our fans. I wish I would’ve prepared the team better. The truth is we've gotta coach better. And we’ve gotta make better adjustments during the game, during halftime. Gotta get better."
- Ed Orgeron

There’s nothing wrong with the Orgeron quote if that was only once, but hearing it week after week was a real kick in the nuts.

Say what you will, but our last three coaches were all stellar coaches. We’ll be damn lucky to get another one as successsful.

Like everything with Ed, it was mostly a political statement to make people think he was taking ownership of the situation

The problem was Ed had no idea how to fix the issues because it was above his competence level.

Orgeron said it more in the context of “look at how much of a good ole boy I am because I’m verbally taking responsibility even though I have no intention of changing anything” unlike Kelly who actually follows his words with matching actions. It felt very condescending listening to O repeat the same “put it on me” bullshite week after week when it was obvious that he didn’t actually think he was the problem. Dude would say “put it on me I’ll get this fixed” then go home and furiously swipe right on Tinder for 4 hours then take Candi #7 to Lake Charles for the rest of the weekend

Regarding O and Les, you and I must have a different interpretation of the word "stellar". So Chizek and Coker were stellar coaches too since they also won a championship?

More like we were damn lucky to win championships with two imbecile coaches.

Yeah hearing we got to get the Oline play cleaned up in week 1 and week 2 is acceptable but when your still saying it in week 10 then that's a big problem. Signed Les Miles and Coach O.

I think CBK can be successful here.

But in the meantime let’s remember that O leads the Natty count 1-0.

Les is a far better coach than Ed ever was.

He could recruit as well as Ed, hence the longevity, and got great coordinators hired too and let them coach.

He held on to Chavis for two seasons too long and wouldn't fire his best buddy and that's what did him in.

Ed got lucky that we held onto Aranda, and got lucky as all frick in getting pro passing concepts from a good coach to a qb that could process it quick enough to run it. 2019 was a great, and Ed never rebuilt from it because he couldn't hire for shite because he had no idea what to look for.

I ain't trying to excuse ED,it was time for him to go!the last 2 seasons were horrible and his off the field crap was even worse, but when he beat Bama, won a natty, and coach of the year.Im not saying he's a legend, but you ungrateful frickers could at least move on a little.
When he took over for les,he was least an upgrade.he didn't inherit a stacked team like les did.

Joe Burrow won that natty.
Since he left we are slightly under 500. Joe went to, and damn near won, a Super Bowl.
Case fukkin closed.

Oh also, Joe Brady washed out in 2 yrs.
