Max was by no means awesome last night. That being said, the dude had no time to throw unless it was a short curl or quick slant, and the running hand couldn’t get any traction bc of the Horrid offensive line play. The offensive lineman didn’t play great and the offensive scheme across the line looked SO Basic. The main thing Max should get an arse chewing about was that no look desperation throwaway he did, that was stupid. But, he Wasnt the reason we didn’t win

I know I’m in the minority but I still think max is better. At least he can buy a little time with his feet which is gonna be crucial with the offensive line situation. Brennan is a statue and once he tries to extend a play the play is basically over. I do agree that he’s more accurate and throws a better deep ball but all that is irrelevant if you have zero time to pass. I know y’all wanna believe that a better situation lies ahead but it’s not realistic.

You don't have to complete but one deep crossing route then you put on their minds to backup the linebackers

Brennan’s arm strength would have shown I think.

With our offensive line we don’t have time to run anything deep. It’s as bad as I’ve ever seen.

Negative. There were snaps when Max had plenty of time, even holding on ball too long.

Wait are we talking about Jefferson and Lee in the championship game vs Bama?

I don’t know. Max was horrible.

We had 1 rushing yard at half.

They would’ve been dragging Brennan’s carcass of the field before halftime

Max doesn’t have a strong arm. His deep passes float a lot in practice tape. That’s probably why the game plan didn’t include deep throws. Brennan has a cannon. Totally different game planning.

I’m rooting for Max Johnson as he is our starting QB. I’m hopeful that he continues to develop and get better.

That said, after watching the UCLA game, it put to rest any question on who our starting QB was gonna be before MB’s injury. Max has a ways to go and need to improve a lot.

You guys are going to be in for a rude awakening if Brennan gets behind this o-line. He’s gonna get gangbanged in the backfield. A lot.

It honestly blows my mind how many people thought Max Johnson was good. He can’t fricking throw dependably or consistently. His deep ball is suspect. He can KIND of run but can’t find the holes as well.

I got banned on another user name because I ripped on max. Guess I spoke too soon and should’ve done what everyone’s doing now.

Btw, go ahead and ban me again… I’ll just make another one.

He’s a dumbass for staying this long. He could have transferred years ago and been lighting it up elsewhere.

Probably wouldn’t have been a whole lot different result.

Brennan is more accurate and gets the ball out quicker. I'm not sure we would have won but I think Brennan would have had a better game than Max last night.

If Brennan had played last night, people would be ripping him today and calling for Max. Neither will be successful behind an offensive line that can't pass protect or run block. With the ton of experience they have, they're still horrible, and it won't get much better.

My only surprise right now is that people haven't called for Nuss, but they will be after he plays next week.

It is clear that Brennan's injury was a huge setback for the offense. Anyone who thought that Johnson was ready for this was drug-addled.
