The only important part in my book is that he continues to improve. So far so good.

. He played very well but their were a few qbs that had monster games this week. Brennan continues to improve but he probably had the fourth best day today

Look who’s miserable after a win. Like clockwork.

The 2nd half of Miss St. was better than the first half. And this game was better than Miss St.

Still much to improve but no doubt getting better. Certainly by next year he should really be rolling and LSU making serious noise again.

Without Joe Burrow in the record books, that's a top 10, 15 performance in LSU history.

:letthatsinkin:

It was bound to happen. If this game happened anytime before UT last year, we'd be singing Brennans name from the rooftops.

Brennan had a nice game but that’s a ridiculous statement

The competition gets tougher after next week, but Brennan could get 3000 yds - only done 4 times before

I like to go by # of passing attempts. It shows me they're at least trying the most and that's what really matters

In my opinion, with this type of offense that they are running, it takes a lot of repetition for the qb and wr to get on the same page. Like Joe and his great receivers.

With LSU losing so many receivers, and co-vid not allowing the newcomers the necessary time needed to get the reps for this offense, it will take some time to get the machine going.

I’m not miserable at all over the win. Just keeping perspective. Yards ain’t it

Considering that Trask, Jones and Corall all have at least part of a season as starters, Brennan is where he needs to be right now. He’s hands down been better than Mond, Franks and Guarantano, and they all have a lot more experience.

Lester, you’re correct on this. Gross passing yards means little because it’s so dependent on the number of passes thrown and yards after catch, so it doesn’t tell the true story.

Efficiency always wins out.

These are the NFL’s top passers last year as sorted by passing yards. It’s clear that number does not tell you anything.

And just looking at yards might be the worst way.

But MB did play well last night.

He looked ok. Maybe even above average, but still bothers the heck out of me that he looks like he has no confidence. He looks scared in the pocket. That is why he makes some of the wildly off the mark throws. Feels the defenders closing in, and makes a quick throw that is too often behind or over the target. All that can be improved for sure. Better o line play will help a lot. He just doesn't have that air of confident arrogance that Burrow had and I guess that is unfair to put that on him but he has to show leadership. Pissed me off when he failed to convert on 3rd and short and we settled for a field goal. He came off the field after the off the mark throw grinning like he had done something good. Be mad that you sucked son. Nothing worth smiling about in failure.

Well I think the flea flicker to me sort of negates the lack of staying in the pocket, he stayed and slide to his right and took two hits and threw a strike to Kirklin, who showed great foot work to get the one tap down with the ball for the score.
