Behind Jones at Bama.

I thought he looked very good. Lots of improvement left to make but I’m happy with his play thus far.

Without Joe Burrow in the record books, that's a top 10, 15 performance in LSU history.

I was counting yardage. There are, of course, many ways to judge a QB.

I just want he and the receivers to get better and more comfortable with each other each week. I had my doubts like everyone else last week, but he has a live arm if given time.

However you look at the numbers, if he can be a top 5 SEC QB, then we should be in good shape, especially if Emery keeps developing and starts hitting some home runs. You can see he’s going to start busting some of these runs for bigger plays soon.

He looked ok. Maybe even above average, but still bothers the heck out of me that he looks like he has no confidence. He looks scared in the pocket. That is why he makes some of the wildly off the mark throws. Feels the defenders closing in, and makes a quick throw that is too often behind or over the target. All that can be improved for sure. Better o line play will help a lot. He just doesn't have that air of confident arrogance that Burrow had and I guess that is unfair to put that on him but he has to show leadership. Pissed me off when he failed to convert on 3rd and short and we settled for a field goal. He came off the field after the off the mark throw grinning like he had done something good. Be mad that you sucked son. Nothing worth smiling about in failure.

You judge how you want. I’ll judge how I want,

QBR is a widely ridiculed stat.

Most stats can be misleading in a vacuum.

Say what? He had plenty of time, looked good in the pocket and stepped into his throws. The happy feet was minimized and the O-line gave him plenty of protection. He will be fine.

He looked like this for most of the State game, but I don’t know what you were watching tonight. Brennan looked much more comfortable and decisive. He looked like he was on autopilot throwing quick slants the entire game.

There were a couple of times where the pressure got to him and he made poor throws or bad decisions, but there were only a few. He had happy feet and made a bad read on the pick. Then he followed it with a strike for a TD. If he was going to be rattled and lose confidence, it would have been then.

If he keeps improving, then the confidence will be there, even when pressure is bearing down on him.

I can tell you made your end of season judgements based solely off of the first game.

And now you can tell that I think you’re a totally irredeemable dumbass

He made a bad throw on the pick, but the read was correct.

Take away the drops by the receivers, and he had an incredible day. Too many drops. They need to clean that up. Otherwise, the offense was much improved over last week. Crisper.

Terrible take.

Not today, he didn't.

He made a couple of pretty bad throws today, one of which was intercepted. He just missed on a TD, though, on an otherwise very well timed throw to the endzone. A couple of very nice passes were dropped for what would have been first downs, too.

The OLine played lights out today, for the most part.

Without Joe Burrow in the record books, that would have been a Top 10 LSU passing performance in history - in his second start.

Terrible take, overall.
