I've thought about it before, but watching him rope that ball into left field today just reminded me so much of the way the ball came off of Larson's bat. Have pretty similar bodies, play a similar game at short, and can hit the ball for power, average, and situations. Just an observation, guy could end up being the best overall player on our team this year. Knock on wood with all this. Great weekend series.

Not a bad comparison actually. Bregman is going to have a fantastic short career here. He will stay the for 3 and bolt. Stud

I also been thinking for awhile now that Ibarra reminds me so much of Blair Barbier. Same build, 3rd base, same mannerisms. Will be a future leader and 4 yr player. Kid will be a good one.

Ibarra is a juco transfer so he's draft eligible after this season.

Does Aaron Nola remind any of you of Ben McDonald?

Just wanted to join in the comparisons.

You got to love these threads comparing players at the same position to each other.

I was thinking this also, they pretty much throw the ball the exact same distance.

Laird reminded me of many former players in RF, but when he moved to CF he reminded me of nobody. Weird.

Exactly. Except he's shorter, right-handed, not as good as a hitter, and better in the field. But other than that, they're the same.
