Are there any good ones on here, or has everyone just assumed it's a foregone conclusion that LSU is going to win?

I seem to remember an Oklahoma squad being thought of as best in college football, destroying teams by double digits, and then losing to a less than superb Kansas St team in the championships.

What's the scoop on the Dawgs?

This.

According to a Georgia fan in a different thread, they had walk ons playing in the Kentucky game. That's why they struggled. Let's dismiss the fact that it is Kentucky.
or the fact that Vandy dropped 28 on them.
or that they struggled against a FL team on a neutral site that looks nothing like the FL team we're used to seeing.
I won't even bring up the game against Boise.... even though it was virtually a home game for Georgia.

Guy that said that sounds like those 2 Arky guys that were here last week.

Jarvis Jones is definitely one of the top LBs in the SEC. Ogletree is solid as well.

Their corners are fast, but aren't the playmakers we have. Rambo is a big hitter at S.

Not sure about their DL, in the 3-4 the LBs are what shine.

Some Dawg will bash me for this, but I like our secondary against Murray. He's continued to make what I call "AJ Green throws," where he throws into double or even triple coverage hoping the WR comes up with it. It worked last year, it hasn't this year.

Crowell is good, but he's nothing better than what we've already faced.

Orson Charles is a beast. Our LBs could have trouble covering him.

Overall, I think this is one of the more balanced offenses we've faced. Their run game isn't as good as Bama's and their pass game isn't as good as Arky's, but they have better balance than either of those teams. Hopefully, we do as well as we did against Bama's rushing and Arky's passing.

Just what I've observed watching most of their games this year.

It's a red team. Miles likes to beat red teams.

That was me

If any of you watched any of the UGA games, you'd think differently, but i've stopped trying to do any rationalizing.

Quick breakdown of our squad though. Our LBs are the only thing i think we have an advantage over you guys. Maybe at QB too.

Jarvis Jones will have at least 1.5 sacks on Saturday, take that to the bank.

ETA: And TE is an advantage for us

On cfl, pollack said their defense is the reason they are on a ten game winning streak. Then said that their offense is better than LSU's. Not sure how we are suppose to take that. Either LSU's offense must be absolutely pathetic or Georgia's d must be the greatest ever.

But either way that spells doom for LSU.

what offensive juggernauts have they shut down?

UGA has benefited from not playing LSU, Bama and Arkansas to date.

Stats and records are pretty unhelpful for Georgia. They have only beaten 2 teams with winning records. I think this explains their good defensive record. Of course anyone can beat anyone.
I am not sure they can stop our running game, despite what they did against GT. We can run in and out.
If they can't run on us, than it will be a long day for Murray. Just ask Arkansas how it turned out for them.
Maybe the weather will be in their favor.

I think as long as miles throws in an occasional blitz, this will pan out the same as arky...

Murray will be confident, and make 2-3 great throws early...leading to many picks later in the game.

I think UGA will muster 1 good drive and a few mediocre ones.

I think no matter what UGA will score 16.

Now comes our part...we probably start slow until the horses are out of the stable...many sweeps will force the LBs to run alot. A couple more sweet trap runs and the Lbs get tired. We start piling Tds on the second quarter onward. Thinking score is close at the half with 3 tds in the 3rd and 2 scoring drives in the 4th...45-16 final

I have watched several Georgia games this year and they are very physical. I really like the RB Samuels because he is very physical running the ball, Mitchell is a stud rec. and Jarvis Jones is one of the best LB's period. I 'm not flaming but it is hard to over look the fact that Georgia only beat Vandy, Florida, Tenn. and Kentucky by a combined 26 points. We didn't play Vandy but we beat all of the rest by more than 26 points. I know it is hard to compare scores but it is a little hard to over look this. Tigers by 10
