From this description I can safely say he sounds like about our 6th best player. Thanks Johnny.

Back in my day there was some ballers at the Rec that Brady should have tried out.

Might be that whole attitude thing, a la Jordan Jefferson. I don't bash BH especially now after the fact but he hasn't won many fans over to say the least.

Attitude wise, what has he done? A less than thrilled looking on his face after getting benched and booed by his home crowd during a prime time game on national tv?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that his mid-range jumper is suspect.

Judging from his UREC game, I'd say its a rumor, but with our basketball team ya never know.

They dont just post a flyer on the bulletin board. You have to know people to even find out when the "tryout". 98% of these guys are preferred walk-ons that get recommended by high school coaches ala Henry Shortess.
this is 100% false. I have literally seen a "tryout" poster on a the door of Barnes and Noble on campus. I'll post it if I can find it.

Again, I have nothing but goodwill for BH. But, the tweet about "you smart" didn't help, running into locker room during alma mater (allegedly. I didn't see it personally) etc.

For me, I still respect him and I feel bad for him. I also believe that with Miles and Cameron gone that BH would be much better now if he was called upon to play.

I dunked on him at the UREC. For the amount of beer I drink and still able to do that to him, he would have no chance.

Did you watch Darcy Malone play last year? I have to believe anyone had a shot.

If they are short players (which they must be since Reed Vial and Marshall Graves are on the team) Drake Davis would probably be the one.. he already stated Johnny Jones wants him to play. LINK

quote:

Davis shocked a few people during the ESPN broadcast when he announced he was going to be a dual-sport athlete at LSU. He said he's already talked to LSU basketball coach Johnny Jones about possibly joining the Tigers basketball team next year. Their relationship dates back to Davis' days playing AAU basketball for the Red Storm program in Baton Rouge with Jones' son John. "It's kind of a thing that every time I visit LSU and I run across Johnny Jones, he's like, you have to play basketball if you come here," Davis said. "It's a thing. I've played basketball almost my whole life. Johnny Jones' son played for our AAU team so he'd be at every game. He liked me even before football."

This statement got 21 up votes.

I cannot figure out why 21 people perusing this thread would stop and like this one.

If it's even true, why did you like it?

This is exactly my reaction. If we are rooting for LSU Tigers, why do we make fun of our own athlete(s)?

because LSU is a big-time football program with the highest expectations. The players are fair game for legitimate criticism of their performance.

It goes with the territory, and the players know what they're getting into when they sign their scholarship papers.

Just because a guy wears P&G doesn't make them immune to legitimate analysis and criticism. This is a message board, after all.
