As always there is very likely some important missing information which we will never learn. Still what could that information be that would make everyone say, "Oh. Now I understand why Miles will not play BH."
Any guesses?

Yeah. I feel for the kid, but him saying he knows the playbook doesn't mean he knows the playbook.
He didn't say he knew the whole playbook. He said he knew the parts they've asked him to know, but you are still technically correct.

JJ saying "I played well" didn't destroy any myths.
One had facts backing up to the contrary, while the other has 1 instance of him really struggling and for all we know LSU didn't prepare for the noise well enough.

You're parsing a bit, but I'll clarify. Harris saying that he knows all the plays he's supposed to know doesn't make it the case.

Harris received permission from LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette to do the interview
quote:It depends on what the interview was supposed to be about. Did he get permission to be interviewed about his high school? Or did he get permission to talk about LSU stuff.
Half of the interview did not deal with LSU football. Harris discussed the Parkway-Byrd game that was played Thursday night, his high school career, his love of the Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Tony Romo, his admiration of Shreveport area teammates Jermauria Rasco, a starting defensive end at LSU, and starting cornerback Tre'Davious White, and his overall adjustment to college and academics.
Either way I think that anyone who gets upset about how a reporter steers an interview with a 19 year old kid is an idiot, but Les seems to like to keep tight controls on this stuff.

I know it's tough to accept Mile and staff attacking an 18 year old kid after they gave him permission, and making up lies about him...
I don't know if any of this happened and neither do you
if it did, yeah, its very shitty
I just don't like to jump to conclusions about this type of stuff because generally there is more going on behind the scenes than any of us we really know...good or bad

I clarified to CptBengal. The meaning should have been perfectly apparent, though.

the other has 1 instance
There was more than one instance of him not knowing the call, including in games other than Auburn.

And Shea didn't have any expectations of what would happen with his "nugget" of insight?

I hope to God fans are the ones acting up and not Harris, players, or former players. I can't check twitter at my current workstation.

Not knowing the call doesn't mean not knowing the playbook. There is a difference. It very well could be a communication issue.
It happened in his first drive ever in college football and then in the Auburn game. Maybe actually having the freaking OC/QB coach on the field to talk to these players would help instead of him in his glass house up above.

Just based on what I've seen (in obviously limited action). Kid doesn't know the plays. I don't have to hear third party rumors or anything else to see that. I was pissed off in the UW game that he wasn't on the field then when he did get on he looked completely unprepared.
I still blame the coaches for him not being further along and getting us into the situation we are in again.

the part where he says where "I" could win that game is a poor choice of words
Miles' quote is something along the lines of "Jennings presented us with the best opportunity to win the game."
Harris said exactly that, just from his perspective. Would it have somehow been better if he had referred to himself in the 3rd person so he didn't say 'I'?

ETA: fans creating a #freeBrandonHarris twitter hash tag and sending the message to coach Miles is definitely not helping the cause either.

jennings has been here TWO YEARS and still sucks. he had one great drive against arkansas last year to win the game.
other than that, he's been pretty terrible.

can you not see the difference in this?
its not a big deal to me, but don't act like these are the same

That interview didn't sit well with Miles b/c Harris is saying he is prepared to play, is being told he'll play, and yet has to sit and watch an inferior QB ahead of him. Like I said, even if approved to do the interview, he should have declined.
So Harris should say he was ill-prepared? How is that better? And where did he say he was sitting behind an inferior QB? You guys just make stuff up to fit your agenda.

man I could see why this interview landed him in the dog house. Rosetta is totally right, I can see why his teammates would be super upset about it.
I don't see anything in that interview that he should be in the dog house for

I just looked and it seemed fine....other than following all of the coaches (which is a little immature IMO).
