Very similar numbers in both of their Sophomore years. Dak did not blow up until his Jr. year. Could BH do the same with a full year under his belt now?

True sophomores always blow it out in the SEC. It is known.

Don't compare Brandon to Dak, one has great potential and the other over achieved.

He's going to be improved. People forget that the kid never took snaps from under center in highschool. He obviously improved enough last offseason to take over the starting job(not that it was a monumental task or anything, but still) He did play well up until the bama game. Im of the belief that the injury did play a major factor in his performance towards the end of the season. I think our concern should be who's going to take the reigns when BH is gone, cause BH is fixing to blow up.

I love Harris I'm pulling for him , I can't imagine trying to scramble around and try to throw a football with needing surgery... ( sports hernia)

Also I think he will have better timing with our receivers with another year together....

This seems obvious.

What I don't understand is all the people on this board who believe that there's no chance that a true sophomore, who was a first time starter, won't be better in his junior year. I fully expect him to be better. The question becomes will that be enough to get us back in the SEC championship hunt next season. In my opinion, it should be.

So the same sports hernia injury that kept Marshawn Lynch and Keith Hornsby out of action for quite some time shouldn't have bothered him throwing a football and trying to not get hit? Ok.......... Clown

Prescott took over for Russell in 2013 after Russell had a concussion

Prescott 2013 Stats:

In 11 games, 156 of 267 passing for 1,940 yards with 10 TDs/ 7 INTs.
He rushed for 829 yards on 134 carries with 13 TDs.

Brandon Harris 2015 Stats:

In 12 games, 149 of 277 passing for 2,165 yards with 13 TDs/ 7 INTs.
He rushed for 226 yards on 67 carries for 4 TDs

So the passing stats are roughly equivalent.

The rushing stats? Not even close, advantage Prescott.

This definitely separates the two.

Harris as a sophomore is already on par with Mettenberger who was a junior.

Dak split time for no reason. He was clearly the better Qb.

I'd be willing to bet a large sum of money that the majority of Dak's yards came on designed QB runs which we don't do nearly enough of.

If it's apples to oranges then why in the world was this thread started in the first place?

I guarantee you've never had a sports hernia or played a high level of football. Kids a fricking warrior in my book now.

I don't care if BH had twice the stats of Prescott. You guys really don't get it. Prescott could complete short and intermediate routes, accurately. Until BH can do that, consistently, teams will not change their defensive approach against us. Another thing is I'm pretty sure Prescott didn't have near the wrs or running game of LSU, and his coaches could actually allow him to throw across the middle.

I see these stat posts poo up every few days...well BH is similar to so and so. This is when I know you are either strongly vested in BH as a friend or family member or just really don't get football. Stats mean very little in this situation. I hope BH blows up and has a great year. Any realistic fan will tell you that in order for LSU to accomplish their goals, BH will need to improve significantly.

Yes that hernia allowed him to complete long passes but severely limited his short passing game...all year. Lol
