Just moved past Bama and UF.

Dari Nokwa (sp?) on SEC now is baffled as to how this could have happened.....can't believe it. How did we just jump Bama and UF?

We are 11-6 in conference. Bama is 8-9. We just beat UF. We are ahead of both in the standings. Wtf does that communist not understand

Eta: got some bubble talk going on page 5-6ish. Let's keep it all here

To some the RPI is the bible of rankings. They don't understand how a team with a RPI of 75 can be more deserving than a team with an RPI of 49.

The RPI should be buried with the BCS. Who you play is weighted more heavily than who you beat. Losing a game and moving up in the RPI is asinine. Me having to root for Wake and CoC at this point, as well as their opponents is plain dumb

If only LSU's RPI was 75. It's 86.

Is there a regional site in Boise this year? If so, LSU is in the tournament and will get sent there.

Damn, we always get sent out there. Even back to 1992, Shaq's last game. 2005 UAB disaster as well, I think.

I miss the Orange and Blue court.

LSU in Boise-Shaq's last Game

Wow, I didn't realize that the Tennessee and Arkansas losses hurt us that bad RPI-wise. I figured it wouldn't hurt us as much since both games were on the road. Both of those losses were on the road were against teams that are 12-3 and 13-4 respectively at home this season. Our RPI probably dropped again since we played Mizzou at home as well.

Though regardless of this, I'm still in the camp of devaluing the RPI. If LSU can knock off Kentucky this Saturday and potentially win a share of the conference title they should be in. Honestly I would be fine with a play-in game. It'd be Johnny Jones best chance to win a tournament game.

We are actually projected at 88th after win against Mizzou.

RPI is the worst system in the history of college sports. It makes the BCS look like geniuses founded it. LSU was stupid to schedule at Charleston and at Houston because if you lose (which we did), we gain nothing. However, if we schedule at Michigan state and at Miami (which UF did) and lose, we jump 20 points in rpi. Ridiculous

Florida and Bama losses were huge. Could use Georgia loss too and we can close in on Vandy some if they lose to A&M. A win vs Kentucky puts LSU as the best conference RPI and they won't be denied if that's the case because they will have done so while playing and being successful against the toughest rated SEC schedule.

The the purple and gold glasses off fool. Do you really thing LSU is a tournament team? No heart. No emotion. I would rather not make the tourney than get embarrassed on national television.

Bama has a lousy conference record. It would be bullshite if they get in at 9-9, especially if they end 8-10. In the sec that does not equal a bid imo
