11 Ks so far. Imagine how many he would have if his curve was working...

HItting alone isn't the issue. It's clutch hitting. Base running. once we get guys in scoring position, the wheels seem to come off. That's the issue.

Hale has not been as impressive as ULL's 3rd sacker tonight

Keith Law has him shifting to second as of this week. If he's drafted that high, it's because his bat is that legit. Rickie Weeks was drafted No. 1 overall as a 2B and played that most of his big-league career. Middle infielders that can rake get drafted high, whether it's second or short. Dustin Ackley went No. 2 a few years ago as a 2B. It happens.
i'm not saying it never happens, but it's rare. and weeks batted over .500 his last year at southern. ackley batted over .400 iirc his last year at unc. bregman is a great hitter, but not as good as those two were in college. and yeah, bregman may very well end up at second in the pros, but it won't because he doesn't have the tools to play short

Well when you constantly run yourself out of innings like running on contact from third with only one out, it makes your bast really look bad. This game should be 4 or 5 to 1, not 3-1.

Their third baseman is killing it and ours is flailing.

If only our 3rd baseman can get one of those.

He's wrong. Hale had a good shot at it.

Ain't gonna happen
if he stays int he low 100s at the end of the 8th he comes out for the 9th. Avoid the high pitch inning and he will finish this.
He threw 119 pitches last Saturday. He will have normal rest, we don't play till Sunday if we win this super.
