This stupidity here just cracks me up. How exactly does one not accept mediocrity? Just whine and complain about things that are not in our control? Instead of looking for something positive to hope for, are we supposed to just wallow in sadness? Or perhaps we should just hold our breath until we are blue in the face until we get what we want? Please. Do tell.

9-4 is much better than 8-5.
for an elite football program with much higher aspirations, both those records are the same.

LSU fans actually traveled, in great numbers to that game in Vegas. Best attended game ever in Vegas including the Super Bowl a year earlier.

That could be an incentive to put the Tigers back there

Bowl games seem less important these days… stadium is over half empty…it’s more of a practice game

The real tragedy is that New Year's Day is no longer the big day in college football. It was inevitable with the playoffs but I still hate to see it go.

Any bowl game is important for 1 reason. 15 extra practices plus a game. With our young roster experience helps. LSU will be really good next year with Nuss back

I'd always be down to face any blue blood team in a bowl. This year in particular I would very much like this to happen. And for whoever our OC is at that point to call 60 passes. For reasons.

30 miles from my house as well.

I want the Texas Bowl on New Years Eve -- but NOT against Baylor! They'll bust Tiger nuts, seriously

We saw that most saliently back in 2018 with the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl. That game proved to be the "coming out party" of the great Joe Burrow.

Any potential matchup I've seen would be ok except for the Gator Bowl vs Duke. That would really be a slap in the face

The important thing about a bowl game is you get to play it. It slows about 2 weeks of legal practice to develop players for the next year. Schools who don’t play a bowl game have a problem staying with bowl teams in player development. So be happy and enjoy it.

Jontre Kirklin was the man. Problem was the defense never got K State off the field

Kind of like LSU playing unranked Wisconsin last year. It happens.

They have a No. 12 ranked 10-2 team vs an unranked 8-4 team?

I don't see it.

Cam Ward ain't playing and Miami historically does not travel. That is why.
Yeah, I was in Atlanta when LSU beat the crap out of the Canes in the Peach Bowl. You could count the Miami fans on one hand.

I'd love to do the same at the Gator this year. I hope it happens, but I just see Ole Miss or South Carolina fitting there against a Top 12 Miami team.
