LOL that's a blast from the past. Dave Neal was the commentator I believe. I remember no one wanted that 11am time slot. I recall Tubberville complaining one time Auburn got three 11:00am starts in a row complaining how it hurt local restaurant, grocery, etc. sales re the local economy.

I dont know the scoop but all I can tell you is that I went to Law School with Winston and likewise, was always (and is) a stand up guy.
Kind of like LSU playing unranked Wisconsin last year. It happens.

Missouri Waltz I grew up in East Prairie. Hunted 10 Mile Island. Fished Wolf Island Chute. Graduated in 90 and ended up in Louisiana after law school. Almost went home last weekend to dove hunt.
