I'll be hoping to attend the bowl game this year and I was wondering if y’all knew any good tailgating spots or other places to meet other LSU fans in Houston?

I am from the area but have yet to attend a neutral site game before. I am pretty excited. Geaux Tigers!

Christians tailgate on white oak
Little Woodrow shepherd / midtown/ rice village

All good spots and have been rotating lsu bars last few yrs. Depends on where your staying. And just Uber to the stadium.

Stadium area is a shite hole

I've entertained the idea of making the 2 hour drive to Houston and taking the next day off from work.

Tickets aren't too crazy

You can typically buy the cheapest seat, and sit anywhere you want in a lower bowl. Done this a few times for this game, lau / tech and a few others.

Yep that area is a complete shithole and always will be. Damn shame to have built that new stadium there and yeah I understand the Houston rodeo and astrodome connections. Still should not have been built there.

Check the Texas bowl website. They have some events they’ll put on. Not sure what day yet but there’s a concert event at the rustic downtown. There’s a fan fest the day of the game outside NRG.

Also check the LSU Houston alumni social medias. They’ll post where the happenings are. It’s going to be a good time! I know we will be represented well but don’t be surprised to see a lot of K State fans. They travel well for a lesser known program. Good fun people from what I remember too. Country farm background folks.

I actually feel sorry for the LSU fans who have purchased tickets to the Texas Bowl. I just do not see how our 45+ players can be competitive in that game.
