Arky intentionally slides their elbow guard down their arm so that it extends. Of all times for that extra inch to snag a HBP it’s during the SEC tournament with top pitcher on the mound for a lead off walk.

I have been saying since the first week he has limited range but got down voted to death

I would LOVE you to put a LINK to any of those threads where ur downvoted for saying something that 95% of this site has not only admitted to but discussed openly in Dozens of threads.

Most posters know Dugas is limited at 2nd but more than makes up for it via his “big stick”!!!!!!!

Then they hammered them. Especially in that 4th.

Every ball they hit that inning was a slow bouncer up the middle that found a hole in our shift. I don't think one ball they hit wouldn't have been a routine out any other time.

I most liked what Jay Johnson said about the 4th inning:"I'm not disputing the call of catcher interference but, it was a tough way to give up 3 runs."

At this point I’d rather see Nipolt or Merrifield at 2B. Dugas is hitting like .150 in his last 50 AB’s

Cooper should have been out of the inning before that on a blown strike call by the ump. Enough can’t be said about how bad the umpiring has been this year

I absolutely love Dugas, but watching him move laterally is painful to watch.

After seeing this board fellate Skenes alls season I was really surprised when I saw how pedestrian his repetoire was. He can throw hard but thats the long and short of it.
The rant constantly outdoes itself with stupidity. I’m shocked you have the mental capability to type. Talk to text was invented for people without hands and retards like you.

The HBP was correct call. Whether it hits the body, jersey, guard, it's a HBP.

the call was correct but the flap that was hit should not be allowed.

If you come to the plate with a 4' bat you'll hit the catcher with every swing.

yeah - exaggeration - but that's the point.

Was Skenes tipping off pitches?

He was still hitting 100 mph right before he got pulled.

I didn't say otherwise. The point of my op is that Skenes didn't really have a terrible inning as the stat line showed. He didn't peg a batter in the numbers... He barely hit a hanging elbow guard. He had a walk where the ump calls balls that are clearly strikes, not just something that caught the edge. He didn't get shelled; he gave up three singles that inning and two of them could have been routine plays (double plays) if not for the shift. Skenes pitched well enough to have 5-6 outs in the 7 batters he faced. It was a bizarre inning to say the least. It wasn't bad pitching. When you see someone give up 5 runs in an inning, you think of walks and line drives clearing the infield. That wasn't the case.

And it makes you wonder why. Did the ump (or the league) have money on the game? Does the league want to force LSU to play five games because we are pretty much the only fanbase that shows up for this thing? Is there some butthurt Gump in the officiating office? Not putting on a tinfoil hat, but the league has a long history of screwing over teams it decides it doesn’t like.

Nah, look at the foul calls WW’s last season in conference. We’d be in the double bonus before the other team had one called on them. And then there’s the three holds on the TD scramble. But ignore it if you need to.
