Let’s all just relax.

Whether the firing happens today, tomorrow, next month, or right after the season, LSU will have a new Head Ball Coach come 2022.

Let’s all keep it together and get through these next 7 games.

At most we have only 8 weeks or so left in this era of LSU football.

I think we all realize that.

It's just painful to watch right now.

Yup.

I already accept it.

LSU will finish 5-7.

Wins over ULM and one more SEC win.

No way Ed makes it to 2022.

I definitely don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Ed O will be let go

Agreed.

But the bright side is that the roster is stacked at many key positions and the new staff will not be engaging in any way shape or form of a massive re build when they come in.

Once we get a competent head guy and who will be able to hire competent folks that want to work for him we will be right back to where we are accustomed.

Just need to grit and bear the next 2 months or so.

I completely disagree.

The final nail was put in last night.

Do you think Woodward purposefully wants to endure that kind of heat?

me neither. Especially if he manages to win 6 or 7 games.

If LSU goes 6-6 or 7-5 and O is allowed to stay, I won't watch another LSU game until he's fired.

That would be completely inept on the part of this admin to allow that to stand.

Though I rate Woodward as substantially better than Alleva, let's not forget what the '16/'17 coaching "search" looked like.

My biggest issue: LSU firing two championship winning coaches within 5 years. That will give a lot of candidates pause.

You'll get the ambitious coaches who want to head to the NFL or retreads. There are no 'mama called home' candidates of merit, yet.

My biggest fear now is that he won't be fired.

When the team goes to Tuscaloosa and Saban puts another 55-17 arse Whuppin' like last year, Orgeron will be free to Fish for Reds and Specks down in Pilottown.

If it's not foregone it's a half step from it. The lack of OL/running game is almost guaranteed drive future SEC losses. His recruiting is vastly overrated so why would Woodward bet on O to lead the program beyond 2021? Dare Rosenthal looks brilliant with his weed move to UK.

Check back with the crowd after Kentucky, Florida, Ole Miss, Bama and Arkansas to let us know if your opinion holds.

Certainly hope this turns out to be true, but I'm not counting this as a given just yet.

I have accepted it

I really enjoyed myself at the tailgate and at the game last night. I was not happy with the 4th quarter failures, but we still had a great time cheering. I know our section was loud and the few Auburn fans around us were impressed with how loud it was. The Auburn fans that traveled to BR were very friendly and we enjoyed talking with them. They are a lot like us right now, they know they are not that great of a team and are just hoping to build for the coming seasons.

I was disappointed it wasn't a sell out and we didn't have a bigger crowd but I also understand why some people are not attending games

The traffic wasn't to bad last night, we also took down our tailgate after the game and by that time we got home pretty quick.

I also understand why LSU doesn't concentrate of having great food in the concessions, we have a lot of great food in the parking lot.

Well then fire the guy and lets get a good coaching search started. This season is lost anyway.

You can start a coaching search prior to firing. How would you feel about another interim coach "impressing" "the search"?
