CEO got lucky with Burrow. This is becoming clearer and clearer each game.

Maybe, but Brennan has been able to hold his own lately. He's made big improvements since the opener.

Let's be honest, none of CEO's hires have been jaw dropping outside of Joe Brady and he needed Burrow to pull it off.

I want to like CEO but with a budget and talent like LSU has, having this style of defense is fireable, IMO. Les never had this.

Agreed about the defense. I mean, Mississippi State offense didn't score against fricking KENTUCKY. You mean to tell me Kentucky has better players than LSU does? If they don't, then what is the problem?

my thoughts...

Kentucky has been strong defensively for a while
With lesser talent they probably are more accustomed to playing zone

I’d rather he try to recreate 2019

If it didn't affect those of us who are not being unreasonable, I almost wish we would go winless from here on out for the next two years. But then again just as soon as LSU would start winning again, here y'all would come running. Like a bunch of crackwhore strawberries camped out around the dope dealer.

O's arrogance is beginning to show with his subtle shots at last years defense. He can't recreate 2019 without Aranda and he knows he looks like a tool to the fans right now with Pelini. Maybe he should be grateful and humble and not so quick to hire his buddy thinking he would get better results.

So completely in charge of recruiting over a 4 year cycle and we have no depth, development or talent in the trenches? Let's ignore that one too.

I keep reading my post and still can't see where I called to fire anyone.

Simply stating the obvious for those who are competent enough to see it. Unfortunately for fans, CEO will get a pass this year and we'll all find out in early September 2021 if Pelini is washed up or not.

Man is making entirely too much money for the product being displayed on the field. I'm down with letting CEO try to fix it.

From what I have heard, the problem is more about O trying to sleep with every girl in Baton Rouge than he is worried about coaching

If Pete Carroll was still at USC they would have won two more national championships minimum.

Explain what is wrong with that.

Why was Linehan horrible at this point? seems like offensive production doesn’t back that up at all

Let's also ignore the 20 people who left for the NFL (14 drafted and 6 undrafted) 2 depth transfers (Monroe and brooks) 3 starters opt outs (chase, vincent, shelvin). There is all of your depth. Gone. 2021 is the judgement year, not 2020. Be patient

Offensive has only been explosive because of the weak schedule and we are throwing 95% of the time. Rushing game is non-existent against weak teams.. That is all offensive coaching. He has not helped our offense at all and especially in the Red Zone where this is his priority. Esminger is supposedly calls the plays on down and distance and Scott handles inside red zone. Not scoring from the 1 yard line on 4 tries is terrible.

When we play a decent Defensive team we are in Trouble.

We really need O to just improve the team and succeed because there are only two active coaches who have had sustained success on the highest level: Saban and Dabo (and many think without the right coordinators, Dabo would not do near as well). Urban Meyer is the other elite coach, but he is not coaching right now.

Jimbo had great accomplishments at FSU, but has not been able to replicate that at aTm. Herman has not gotten anything done at Texas after the Sugar Bowl win a few years ago. There are good coaches out there who might be able to do really well at LSU, but you really just never know. Many guys look great on paper. Coordinators are extremely important to a team's success, so we have to hope that if Pelini can't adjust, that Orgeron makes a change there because otherwise it would sink him.

They would have all been abandoned by NCAA ruling. Carrol could have gone to the NFL at anytime, only did when those investigators started getting closer.

We definitely made a switch to 4-3 without the DL we needed.

We need to learn the defense.

Too many busted assignment.
