Isn’t this the one game they elected to all travel to this year? Wonder what their thoughts were during and after the game staring at the 150 million investment go up in flames assuming no playoff berth this year.

Wtf are you guys smoking?
This was a bad loss and a game he should have won, but this is the most pathetic I have seen this board maybe ever. Nobody is evaluating anything in regards to the overall performance of Lane Kiffin. It’s going to be at least two full seasons before anyone is actually evaluating performance. Unless the wheels come completely off and he gets blown out by everyone.
Some of you need to take your antidepressants and maybe go watch something else for awhile. Because Kiffin is going to be on that sideline for a long time. And unless you’re just miserable and didn’t want the hire to begin with, you’re going to be surprised and excited when things start to improve. So strap in.

Oh for frick sake. Can you please give Kiffin more than 6 games to prove himself? Let him build his culture and his program and evaluate it after year 3.

Lol why do y’all give so much leash?
This isn’t traditional college football anymore..
We have one of biggest NIL budgets and we’re already out of the playoff conversation in October…
Why do we need to wait 3 years for results that are favorable? What does time matter when you have one of the biggest budgets in all of CFB?

If you are suggesting firing Kiffin right now or after the season, you are mentally challenged. I’m being very serious.
Even if you think Kiffin is the worst coach in the country, firing him right now would destroy the entire program. What kid is going to want to come here after all that has happened and on top of it you fire the coach after 6 games? Or one season? Absolutely certifiably insane.
Kiffin is going nowhere. So get it out of your head.

The guy from my area would only say that he was embarrassed to spend that kind of money to get beat by a basketball school, lol

Because the same things that have always been necessary to build a winning program are still necessary.
You can’t buy a winning culture or team chemistry. It doesn’t matter how much additional money you keep throwing at it, so quit fricking repeating that over and over again. It takes time to build a champion.

I’m not suggesting firing Kiffin.. but why would donors pony up 45-50 million each to be out of it in early October each year?
I’m asking about the return on investment… it will be disappointing this year.

It depends on how things play out the rest of the year. That simple.

Thanks Coach Saban for sharing your experience on how to build a winning culture and a champion. Didn’t realize you were on TD..
Of course it takes time… I’m asking how much time do you Kiffin gets before you know he gets to do something he’s never done before as a HC? Win a championship or even be in a playoff.

A coach will typically get 3 years. He’ll get 3 years unless he gets blown out by everyone. That’s what will happen.

He accomplished that last year. Pete Golding didn’t coach the regular season or get them to the playoff.

Hate to break it to you, the wheels could come off this season… we got beat by an inferior opponent last night with a first year HC as well… I mean I’m glad you support Kiffin but come on. Look at all the money spent by LSU vs Kentucky. Last night was a really bad loss for the direction of the program.

Please turn your computer off. You are insufferable and laughable right now.

Technically Kiffin didn’t coach the playoffs.. I get what you’re saying but let’s stick to the facts.

I’m being a realist and not pushing next year U down everyone’s throat. Big hires come with big expectations along with the other intangibles of NIL budget.

There’s been two road losses that came down to one play. In 6 games. There has been no signs of wheels falling off. Zero. Honestly I’m in shock by this reaction by some of you. I think you’re probably just the people who hated the hire from the beginning. Otherwise, you might be psychotic.

Takes awhile to build winning culture.
Or play an easy schedule. See Indiana 2024.
