I would've called it. I admit my bias. But it's clear the push, although light, makes Jones overrun the play. About three yards before the catch, his steps end up much longer after being pushed. The illegal contact clearly interfered with the play. (Not really the rule on how to call it, but it makes a difference to me.)

Holding a receiver's right arm is totally legal.

Lots of stupidity in this thread.

The defender obviously changed Debo's would-be course and pursuit balance, but even if he didn't IT WAS A BLOCK IN THE BACK. It didn't have to do either of those things to be a penalty, and did I mention it was obvious?

That PI was bad. He never turns around and he's grabbing him as soon as he gets to the goal line.

side note: Harris throws that pass better than anyone we've had in the last decade.

Yikes!! Another horrible no call. He actually held and pulled his right arm back.

Missed a hold on that return too, as well as countless others throughout the game.

how could anyone deny that that was a block in the back? deion was stopping and got shoved downfield. without that, even though deion is not likely to make the tackle, runner has to take more time to avoid him and the whole coverage is affected.

how does a ref miss that? it was a clear shove because you can see Deion get shoved.

the offending push was at the 35, and it does appear to be rather obvious. But we did win, so chalk it up as a bad call and move on.

Ritter would have overturned the fumble on sideline that you could see a sliver of grass where Fla player recovered.

It was not a late hit on Harris out of bounds, he ended up slipping off sideline

hey sec13row no problem, just filling requests, I saw both of these and everyone in the room watching were cursing so I like having them in giF to remind me what we are up against.

I can gif any moment from any game so if you need anything else just request it.

Crazy how the refs had perfect position on both plays and still no calls...

Good work. There was another no call on PI Hargreaves on Dural in the third quarter I believe. Dural ran stop and go and Hargreaves extended arm on him to slow him down as he was trying to accelerate out of the stop

quote:

So you have 100% confidence that he would have reacted to the 2 yard lateral move

There is no lateral movement by the returner, certainly not 6 feet. He catches the ball & goes down on one hand, then gets up and runs straight ahead. If anything the returner makes one step left. You can clearly see Debo's stride & acceleration change when he was pushed.

I am confident that the returner would have had to at least make some move to avoid Debo if he wasn't pushed. As it was, the returner didn't have to make any move, because Debo was pushed away from him & prevented from slowing down.
