It wasn't bad put coverage. It wasn't #11's fault. He didn't outkick the coverage.

Kheen was supposed to kick the ball to the right, which is where the punt coverage was set up to defend against the punt returner. But instead he boomed a kick left of the center of the field and caused everyone to have to adjust. It was the only decent kick he had for the night, except for the fact that he didn't kick it in the vicinity of where he was supposed to.

His course didnt change. He was running to wear the guy originally set up, not where he fielded the punt. And he was already having to run too fast, with not time to breakdown, because we out kicked our coverage. and the guy was never there. He would have had to do something incredible to make that tackle.
Just gonna have to agree to disagree.

He clearly jumped out of his lane. That is where the returner ran.

So you have 100% confidence that he would have reacted to the 2 yard lateral move, at the last moment, at full speed, with 1 yard of the returner?
Does it really matter?

He only did b/c he had to adjust to where the ball was kicked. I agree he is probably the most to blame after the punter for kicking it to far and way to left. Had Kheen boomed it like that and kicked it to the right where he was supposed to, it would have been a very minimal return.

You think him pushing him out of the way of the returner on his back is barely touching him?

I think you need to quit crying like a little baby.... LSU won the game...............

Good "no call". I don't think he could have slowed down enough to make the tackle. He flew down there which is great but what good is it if he's out of control? Either bad coaching or bad following of instructions.

Without a doubt...beginning at about the 35 the UF blocker began steering DEBO towards the sidelines. Unless we're under the impression Debo can't steer his own body toward a guy essentially standing still looking upwards to field a punt, then something made him miss the guy he was heading towards by several yards.

You can actually see Debo lurch forward as the guy pushes him. At that point he's out of the play...

I'll go with the guy running behind him with his hand on his back...

He was "out of control" because he got pushed in the back.

The ball was punted almost 30 yards off towards the left hash. Literally every player had to come out of their lane.

It doesn't have to be a hard shove to block you out of the play when you're momentum is already carrying you that way.
