A bunch of baby back bitches in this thread crying about a semifinal loss in the SEC tourney. Give me a break, we are perfectly fine. Teams lose, its fricking baseball. As long as Poche bounces back we will be ok. Our bats pounded out 9 hits. Most of the time you can get 3 runs on 9 hits but today it didn't happen, it's gonna be ok. i would much rather be the SEC regular season champs than tourney champs but that's just me

I'll go with the subject with a different spin.

Going undefeated through post season is next to impossible. If we had to have a crap game and get it out of our system, this was the right time to be flat.

You DO NOT want to go in to regionals on a win streak. Percentages are not in your favor. Ask ULL last year. We needed to lose. 1 seed nationally or 3 seed what's the difference

According to the bandwagon pussies in this thread there's a big difference

. You almost have to throw Poche in the 1/4 game because you can't trust him on championship Sunday.

Absolutely.

LSU pitchers only gave up two runs to a top 10 team. We got beat today by better pitching. That is why the big boys play 162 games in a regular season.

Even the best closers give up an occasional home run. Today was Stallings first allowed HR.

48-10. Skip had a lifetime winning pct. of 0.724 .

This team will be rocking next weekend. Excited for the postseason.

Loss is no big deal, but scambria has become a liability in the lineup. He cannot hit a breaking ball and we seem to always have base running blunders.
Reynolds and bugg have looks the best out of the pen lately. We will need good starts from Poche and Bain to have a chance to win the whole thing.
We will see nothing but good pitching from here on out..

I posted this under the Subject "On The Bright Side...", but it might be approriate here too.

LSU won the CWS in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2009. They won the SEC Regular Season Championship in 1991, 1993, 1996, 1997, 2009, and 2015. They won the SEC Tournamant in 1993, 2000, and 2009.

So, it looks like winning the Regular Season Championship is a stronger indicator of winning the CWS than is winning the SEC Tournament.

until Stallings can develop a second pitch that he can consistently throw for a strike he will struggle against SEC competition. He isn't in high school anymore where he can just throw gas by 99% of the people he faces.

Post season is double elimination. We only lost two games in a week once this year. both on overtime against UK. One of that was a freak game.

Spin it however you'd like but our bats were abysmal today.

Unless you were there you may not fully understand how utterly filthy the FLA stuff was today. Add to that a plate ump with absolutely no integrity at all, and this was just one of those days in baseball. If this was still a true double elimination tourney, I would like our chances.

Lange was cruising. I know the coach put a 100 pitch count on him. Lange would have been fine to continue if PM really wanted to win.

The level of a melt over the most meaningless loss imaginable would be disturbing if not so predictable.
