“They arent stupid“.
Sounds like they are if they don’t feed Durham the ball a lot

So you don't think Caden is our best back?

Maybe he doesn’t know all of the pass blocking assignments or isn’t good at them yet? For young running backs who probably didn’t do much in high school this is always what Inthink about.

He can be the guy without being called the guy in a presser. This ain't BK's first rodeo.

Durham is a true freshman 3 games in, did some of you expect Kelly to come out and say we're handing the ball off to him 25 times a game coming up or something?
They arent stupid, they saw his ability and will work him in more now. He's not suddenly going to play 75% of the snaps though when we have Williams who is a do it all veteran RB and Jackson who they are trying to get going some.

BK could just be sandbagging, so UCLA won't be ready for Durham. Who knows....

Coaches need to rely on pure talent
I'm beginning to question his talent evaluation. LSU has thrown millions to correct the defensive problems, but we haven't gotten good return on our Investments as of yet.

I swear the collective IQ of this place has been dropping like a rock since 2020.
The kid had more carries than any other RB in the game. Kelly talked about how he has skills that “you can’t teach.” But because Kelly wasn’t willing to go as far as calling Durham “THE” running back after week 3 of his true freshman season, we have idiots acting like Kelly benched him.
Some of the shite I’ve read over the past 3 weeks makes me question what percentage of people on tRant have actually even watched a game this year, much less actually listened to a press conference.

Only a fan that doesn’t understand the game of football would suggest that a true freshman, three games in, with one good game and little knowledge of the playbook should automatically be the starter for the rest of the year.
Geez, some of you people really need to get with it.

Durham has a lot to learn to enhance his natural talent.
This will be a passing offense for the foreseeable future and he needs to learn passblocking, screens, release, etc.
And, it may be that Kelly is challenging him to up his game on those important points…

He said in his presser, we are not at the point where he is the guy. Did compliment his vision. But damn dude. What are you waiting on?
Posted on 9/16/24 at 7:39 pm to Riolobo
What do you want him to say? He is going to be a bell cow. Thatll make the other rbs confident
Posted on 9/16/24 at 9:07 pm to Riolobo
You think he’s going to say that on National TV? Just because a guy has a great game, doesn’t make him the man. More opportunities, absolutely, but he needs to have a greater body of work to make that decision.

Kelly likes you to know he is the final judge.....and it can create stubborn results.
DiNardo and Miles most recently. (Orgeron wasn't stubborn, just "Dumb as Georgia Red Clay Dirt")
Brain protected by Scotts asinine contract and buy out. He'll be around for a few more years regardless, but the initial signs of "Miles like Stubbornness" are present and should be making everybody uneasy.

I can wait until coach sees him break off an 80 yarder. Coming soon.

Don’t listen to BK anymore. He is a con artist.
