That OM TD from about the 4 yd line was a straight bad D alignment. But overall, Baker is outstanding.

Is he free of criticism? Guys were running free and we gave up a ton of 3rd and longs. While I don’t think the defense is on the top of the lists of why we lost.. they had some moments too.

They held Ole Miss off until the end of the second half.
Our offense to that point had one good drive and a series of abominations keeping them on the field. This game is entirely on the offense.

Every coach blows up on their assistants when something is not going right. The defense did allow some 3rd down conversions to happen. That 3rd and 14 should never have happened. West Weeks penalty was huge.
I'm sure Baker can handle anything thrown at him. Yes the offense did not help the defense but allowing OM to convert half their 3rd down attempts and not covering number 8 on the 4th down play was ridiculous.
The whole team did not play up to their standards especially offense. Changes should be made and the SC game will show if they have been made.
