1. 1/9/12
2. Joe McKnight to USC
3. Les/Jeff Ole Miss
4. McFadden triple OT game that gave us two losses and "knocked us out" of contention
5. Landon Collins to Bama

I'd put honey badger getting kicked off, but we thought we'd still do decent without him at the time.

5 for 5

All that comes to mind is LSU converting on 5 fourth downs against Florida.

What is the 5 for 5 that caused a melt?

My personal biggest melt was the LSU v. Tennessee T-Bob Hebert moment. Lost my mind, screaming, cursing enough to send ten men to hell. Then they won.

Still in therapy over 1.

Was not around then, but how did Saban to Bama go? Bet that one was sweet.

I think it was the HS all-star game when 5 five star recruits were committing. LSU fans expected to get 5 commitments but got two. Fournette and Adams I believe.

The recruiting cycle in which Fournette, Adams, Hootie Jones, Speedy Noil, and Tony Brown all committed on the day of the All-American game. LSU was in the running for all 5 but only ended up with two - with Brown and Jones ending up at Bama and Noil ending up at A&M.

In retrospect, not so bad but you know how recruiting goes

The Whole USC winning a NC (AP vote) during the BCS era after we beat OU in the BCS champ game…and then both USC and LSU going to the White House etc etc. that whole time period after the ‘04 national championship being tarnished cause of USC was a complete meltdown.

I had the opposite reaction. I turned off the game and didn’t visit the rant until the Fall. I mean, I cried. I CRIED after that game. First time in my life I wasn’t excited for LSU football season to start. Looking back, I think I had pretty severe PTSD

That was the worst week of sport's watching in my life. Saturday was the 4 lead changes in the final al 5 minutes playoff loss to the 49ers.

5 recruits that we were expected to get, we ended up with 2, Leonard Fournette and Jamal Adams. So there was a melt when the other 3 committed elsewhere.
