He did play some safety if you remember...
Only against Texas in the 2002 Cotton Bowl.

But I don't think you understand the point of this thread at all if you are claiming Clayton belongs in the discussion.
He ran like a 4.6 at the combine
Top end speed isn't the only characteristic of an athlete. Guys like Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens are freak athletes with less than stellar top end speed.

Biggest freak

PP7 or Billy Cannon
I'm pretty sure anthony johnson is bigger than both of them.

Cannon also did a 54 foot shot put while at LSU. Don't think that there should be much doubt that he is the winner of this debate!

Billy cannon ran 100 yards i'n 10 seconds.
He was also the SEC champion shot-putter.
Certainly he was the fastest shot-putter or the strongest dash man in history.
He was also the punter and field goal kicker for the Tigers.
And he played safety on defense.
Cannon would be hard to dismiss as the 'freak of an athlete' moniker. Most other competitors were single-skill guys.
He was also smart - became a dentist.
And yes - to get that swag he did time in Angola (for counterfeiting.)

If Cannon had wanted to go to the Olympics as a weightlifter, he probably could have
Probably influenced by Jimmy Taylor who was the first LSU football player to get heavily into weights.

Laron Landry
6'1" 213lbs
4.35 40 yard dash
38" vertical leap
10'6" broad jump
PP basically had similar measurables but he wasnt built like a dam silverback:

Trindon Holliday ran an official 10.00 flat 100 meter. That is ten yards further.

Ronald Dupree and Ty Thomas could be mentioned as well, but PP7 gets my vote probably because I never saw Cannon.

It's ridiculous how big Landry is for playing in the secondary
Looks like he could be a LB or RB
