If this is the guy I'm thinking of, he didn't receive a scholarship offer from anyone, but held a press conference at his school where he "committed" to Cal.

The guy from California that we were in on that went to USC was pretty good. Had the music video I think. Then came out with a gatorade bottle and nike shoe and stuff.
