I don’t feel compelled to post very often (or at all). So, you can imagine how disappointed I am that I have to make the gameday thread for our preseason HOME OPENER.

A few notes on the pelicans website option though:
-Apparently it is only available locally (there are ways to spoof your location - check google if needed)
-When clicking the “watch game” link on the website, it currently takes you to the league pass signup. Hopefully that changes for the start of the game, and it’s not behind a paywall.

Eta: if you have Hulu + Live TV, it may be worth switching to PSVue during the season to have NBA TV. There will be several Pels games aired on that channel this season.

Edit again: Pels email just said must be with 75 miles to watch on the site.

When did Zion become injury prone?

His two injuries are because of:
1) equipment malfunction
2) knee-to-knee contact

And the severity of the second injury was likely exaggerated to keep him out of summer league. Going to need more datapoints before he can be called injury prone.

Maybe I’m missing something from HS, but I’m not seeing concrete evidence to support that claim.

Switch out Ntilikina for Trier, and I think that’s a great package.

Both roles are necessary, I think. When looking at all operations falling under "Basketball Operations," there is a clear need to have someone leading the greater effort and another person handling the duties of assembling a team.

Basketball Ops: scouting, player development, analytics, video, nutrition, facilities, medical, travel, etc.

With that said, this doesn't have to devolve strictly into the two positions of POBO and GM. It's been speculated that Zarren would want the POBO title to come here. If that's the case, I can see a situation similar to Boston's FO:

POBO: Mike Zarren
Dir of Player Personnel: Filled
AGM: Filled

Or Golden State:

POBO: Zarren
GM: Zarren
AGM: Filled

The absolute structure isn't all that important, but the separation of duties and responsibility is.
