Nah I watch every game from Game 1 til the end, and have for some time.. Maybe my recollection is off. My mistake.

Big Jeff doesn't even know who was awarded numbered 8...
And can't spell Frey correctly.

Pearson is not a CF he is a LF

1. Curiel CF (it'll be either him or Stanfield)
2. Dickinson 2B
3. Jones 1B
4. Hernandez DH (Him, Frey, or Arrambide)
5. Priester C
6. Milam SS
7. Larson RF
8. Brown LF (it'll be either him, Pearson, or someone we're discounting like Beck)
9. Braswell 3B
SP - Shores (People always theorize Jay Is going to do something wild like start Fontenot game 1, people thought Hurd in 23, Nate last year. The Friday night guy is always the obvious guy. Don't overthink it)
Just for fun I think Eyanson and Schmidt round out the rotation in the first weekend. Maybe Guidry or Cowan sneak in on Sunday. We'll know by the 6th inning of game 1 whether or not Guidry will be in the rotation this year, because he'll be the first out of the pen.

I think Anderson will have first crack at weekend spot before Schmidt, but who knows...the pitching changes so much before post season play it's like it's not even worth talking about until the day before the post season. Lol

I can't believe i missed Anderson.
I think it's because I'm so used to just sorting the roster positionally in alphabetic order and it's been about 6 years since we've had a left handed pitcher make a serious impact, outside of Coop and Ack

Outfield will be a rotation of the below until it’s worked out.
LF-Pearson/Frey - CF- Brown/Cruiel- RF- Larson/Stanfield
1B - Jones
2B-Dickinson
SS-Milam
3B-Braswell
C-Arramide
DH-Hernandez
Friday- Shores
Saturday-Anderson
Sunday-Eyanson
Schmidt and Meyers will both make a case as well.

I think you're close to what it will end up being by SEC play, but opening day will look a little different.
Opening Day:
1. Dickinson- 2B
2. Milam- SS
3. Bear- 1B
4. Hernandez- C
5. Brown - CF
6. Priester- DH
7. Larson - RF
8. Braswell - 3B
9. Pearson - LF
SP. Guidry
Note: If Curiel continues to impress, then he's playing center on opening day. Priester to the bench, Brown to RF, Larson to DH.

I sure hope Jay scrapes the idea of Guidry as a SP. I just don’t see it. I see him in the same light as Hess from years ago. I do think Pearson gets the nod on opening day out of respect. My projection is moreso what I would do.

Heard that. I don't want/expect Guidry as a SP, but think he's there opening day with all off the offseason focus, #8 stuff, and giving him a shot at it. Won't last, but I expect him to get a chance and it won't be midweek.
Pearson play is definitely just a respect thing. He's going to struggle to find playing time in this outfield, in my opinion.

Dickinson will hit higher in the lineup. Leadoff or 2 hole.

Stanfield is playing CF period unless he gets hurt.

Thread is about opening day. Who sits out of Pearson, Brown, and Larson? If Stanfield plays CF, then Larson probably goes to DH. That's completely believable, but I think the three returners get the nod opening day. Pearson purely because Jay loves him and he's a senior. Saturday will look differently.

Curiel was rated as high as he was for a reason. He’s an absolute ball player. Whoever hits better will keep the job in center

It’s not because of that. It’s more that he’s pitching this year as well
