Russell Sheppard. Because he wasn’t a QB.

Yeah, it’s normal for “edge” players to lineup in the middle of the defense and spy the defending Heisman winner. Why you and Lester trying to put this guy in one category?

And you are wrong about Spears. He definitely switched positions. Pretty he even said so on a podcast or something recently.

The answer is Webster.

If memory serves me right I believe Whitworth came in as a TE also.

Didn’t Brockers come in as an edge/OLB then put on a bunch of weight and moved to DT?

Some more subtle ones:

Harry Coleman and Cory Thompson from safety to LB

Jay Ward CB/nickel to safety

Chase Clement DE to TE

Will Blackwell DE to OL

And probably tGOAT, Jason Spadoni RB to LB

Mo Claiborne won the Thorpe award. WR to DB.

No. I said he was never going to play there, permanently.

Had he stayed on offense he'd have ended up on the OL. I clearly stated that earlier.

and HP40 has been moved to edge

I mean that's what he's doing. Edge/spy.

I hope we don't move him back to LB. He's too valuable at edge and edge is a much more valuable position.

He plays 2 roles: edge and spy.

Sometimes he actually comes in from the edge to spy, which plays well to open up the stunt.

I almost posted him but in the playoffs against Barbe I thought he was 100% OL. He was recruited to play OL, regardless.

WM posters can chime in on that one.

He was a DE in HS but his frame always projected him to DI

bullshite

You argued that Spears wasn’t a position change because he was destined for DE, when he was literally a top TE prospect and played TE at LSU his freshman year.

Now you are arguing that HP40 has been moved to this ambiguous edge position, which is as much conceptual as it is position based, when there has been zero proof that this has happened.

which he has posted doesn’t just blitz, but is in a “edge/spy” role. Nope, definitely not a LB

This is a next level dumb post. Do some of you have to remind yourself to breath every minute too?
